Are posters/signs allowed in Williams Bruce Stadium?

Making my first trip to Williams Brice this weekend and want to make a poster showing my support of a Gamecock player who is a dear family friend of mine. Poster would say something like Go Gamecocks while also incorporating his name, etc.

Is this something that is allowed to be brought into the stadium? If so are there certain size restrictions (this would just be your average poster you’d get from a Walgreens)? I can’t seem to find anywhere online that discusses rules around this. And I also don’t want waste time making the poster only for event staff to tell me I can’t bring it in and it has to be thrown away.

It looks like posters are not allowed (come to think of it, I don't know that I recall ever seeing any displayed in the stands).
Stadium Rules

Under the list of "prohibited items" -
  • Flags and flagpoles, unauthorized banners or posters

I remember seeing some beachballs. You could try making a folding one. Put it folded in your pocket then expand it.

Not supposed to, but I've seen some. My guess is as long as it's not obnoxious and you're not impeding anyone's ability to see the field, they won't care.

I think the key word is unauthorized. I feel like that gives the University the right to tell anyone no for any reason. However I think regular supportive posters are allowed. It's been a long time but you used to always see that one person with an ESPN anagram poster from the stands on TV.

You also just don't want to hold it up the whole time and block the view for people behind you.

Also, I could be completely wrong and they might stop you at the gates and not allow posters inside.

In 2009 my friend and his brother had seats behind the visitor's bench and they wore santa hats and held a poster that said "All I want for Christmas is for Carolina to beat Clemson".
Santa came through well that year and come to think of it that started the 5 year streak. I should tell him they need to go do that again.

Looks like you are "on your own" as they say....
