I hate it when other people join me in the kitchen. Don't distract me, and stay out of my way.
I am allowed to make a cup of coffee and run the dishwasher.

The wife woke up a bit amorous this morning and asked that I make her feel like a woman. So, I sent her to the kitchen to make me breakfast.
I hate when others “try to help.” The reality is that it takes more effort to describe what needs to be done and how than it does for me to do it myself. If they learned from it there’d be some hope, but the next time somebody puts some thought into the task I give them will first the first. Plus the extra obstacles (people) around me in a kitchen with limited space is a recipe for an oopsie. And don’t get me started on people piling crap in the sink when it has to be clear in order to wash the stuff I already have lined up.

Just got done cutting the grass. Heluva lot easier than raking the leaves. Now time for a beer!
Help out when needed. Wife and daughter working on most of it. When I am beckoned I go there and assist.
I’m allowed but we go to my parents (currently sitting in traffic on 76), I bring the dishes I’m “assigned” every year and put them wherever they need to go. Ask if they need help, which is usually a “no” and then get out of the way and spend time with my relatives I don’t get to see as much. I have also turned into the designated dishwasher over the years which is fine by me because I like the peace and quiet.
Currently doing everything with a little help from my MIL. Two mimosas so far…
I do all the cooking, all the time. Wife is content to be in charge of cleanup.

I peeled and cooked the sweet potatoes, then was told my services were no longer needed. I happily left to go watch TV.
