Looks like the Rooferee (John Higgins) scored a front row seat to watch his Jayhawks
Got awarded "Ref of the Year" he hosed us and Arky.
And as much as I can't stand Huggins- he called Higgins out when they hurt one of his players.

Higgins is a POS.

An old Cal ploy. But in this case I think it’s mostly the kid. We are in the age of kids playing when they feel like it.
Yeah, it’s “low rent” for fans of the sport, but if there’s one thing I will give DP credit for, he’s not playing the fake injury card like a lot of others do.

I have a lot of respect for people who refuse to lie, and instead tell the truth no matter how much it hurts!

Just one reason I’d pick Dybantsa over Peterson if I’m an nba GM.
To follow up on my previous post about DP not playing the “injury card”, his refusal to play besides when it benefits him also makes him a bum… an honest bum, but still a bum!

For that reason alone, I’m taking AJD as well! Dude refuses to sit out any game or dodge any team or player!

Peterson out again for KU. This stuff is laughable at this point.
An illness, like he was definitely worth the money. If he plays in March Madness that’s all they care about now. But yeah he’s missed 11 games so far. It’s crazy.

Fellas, you have to admit— as much as you hate Kansas, they have the best environment and venue in college basketball and there isn’t a close 2nd.

And btw, Arizona looks to me like a bonafide Final Four team— Kansas just beat them without Peterson. Kansas is a FF team as well.

Memorial Coliseum (opened 1950 quit playing there 1975) was superior to your fieldhouse.

Been to Carmichael to see Michael, Len Bias, and Ralph...Cameron to watch K's third-fifth seasons...the Phog to see UK get spanked...Rupp dozens of times...Memorial Coliseum many times. The Coliseum was the best environment of them all. Phog is the best, IMO, today. Love the history...yet it's hard to believe its winning percentage is less than UK's home venues since 1950 given the whistle they inevitably get. Self has dominated things in Lawrence to something like a 95% winning percentage which is crazy.

Coach John Wooden and Ray Meyer said the hardest place they every coached was Kentucky's Memorial Coliseum. Wooden was 0-4 against Rupp & Meyer 3-17, BTW.

Al McGuire was 100% correct when he said "they had it before you, through you, and they will have it when you're gone" when talking about the University of Kentucky men's basketball program.

Anyone recall the reasoning why they decided to build Rupp as opposed to stay at a relatively young Memorial Coliseum?
Size. Plain and simple. The demand for UK tickets has always - always been incredible well before I was born. MSU and Tom Izzo's reason to invite UK to the Basketbowl to break the all-time attendance record was because "the incredble turnout for Kentucky was something that I had never seen before in St. Louis in the regional finals."

Not the first time that UK had a game in a football stadium. When the 1948 national champions played for the Olympic team birth, UK played the Phillips Oilers in its Stoll Field while the Coliseum was being built across the street. DECADES before anthing like that would be considered.

Of course we know why the Champions Classic was started...the BBN took over Madison Squart Garden in the middle of the week in late 2009 in a game against UCONN - the darling traveling program from the northeast - and Barhnart and Cal were asked if they would be interested in starting a preseason tournament because of the following they witnessed that night.

There is no following like UK. Never has been.
