I had a discussion with a buddy of mine and we have differences in opinion when it comes to determining a "Good game".....so I decided to ask the question....just curious....Which would be a better game to you?
A defensive struggle ending in a last second field goal, team winning 9-7. or
A shootout ending in a field goal, team winning 51-49.....
*note your favorite team is not playing...This is just a random game that you come across.

But if I had to pick, I'd go with the 9-7 game. If 2 teams combine for 100 points that's not great offense, it's terrible defense. 9-7 can be either great defense or terrible offense, so it's at least got a chance to be a good game.

I know we lost but that was to me the most exciting game of the season last year.

Big plays, the frantic pace to make the field goal to tie with the clock running down. overtime. Arkansas missing the field goal in OT. I know it sucked that we lost but that was an amazing game.

defensive struggle if its because you're seeing two great defenses. the msu/bama game of 1980 (?...6-3) comes to mind. i also love high scoring games if its because you've got two great offenses as opposed to two ****** defenses. example would be ole miss/bama in '69. i just like good football regardless of how it gets there. i will say i'm biased to good defense. IF we replace nutt, i hope we bring in somebody who understands the spread option, cause i think that's the only way ole miss or msu will compete in the sec, but he better bring in a serious defensive coor to play real sec defense too.
