money given to a player for his commitment. Does an opposing team turn them in? Does the Conference office do anything about it? Or is it so prevalent in college athletics that it is allowed to happen as long as it isn't overly obvious. Not too familiar with what all goes on, but it seems as long as things like this happen (if they do), State will always take a backseat in football to schools with a larger fan/donor base.

once they finish looking into the Reggie Bush matter.

If CM signs with Auburn, so be it. He's gotta do what he wants to do. Move forward, and knock him on his *** 10 times when they come to Starkville next September.

I think just the opposite. College Football, The BCS, etc. has evolved into something so huge that the system can't be rattled. I guess I have come to the conclusion that MSU is just a piece of the system, the one where we are asked to do our part, for "the greater good." We continue to play along and get our fair share for our school. We won't be allowed to cheat to get to the top, but other schools are. USC being example number one. Nothing even happened to Ole Miss for giving "Goldie" McClendon an Escalade. He was suspended and the issue went away. Meanwhile, MSU is punished heavily for two marginally impact players.
I guess I'm trying to decide how much emotion, money, time to put into this ******** anymore since it is a never-ending, self-fulfilling prophecy of sorts. I guess you just take it for what it is, and hope for a bowl every now and then to make you feel good.
