Can someone explain how they are ranked #2? Again a tight win against a ok team at home. They will have one ranked win by season's end. They struggled against Florida and LSU, two teams that won't even go to bowl games.

Everyone is ripping teams like Cincy, Oklahoma, and Michigan, but I just don't get the total love for Bama this season. They aren''t the normal Bama team.

If you are just looking at wins, Cincy wins may be more impressive. Going on the road against ND was a great win. Especially since ND might finish in the top 6.

I watched some of the LSU and Arkansas game and your post is spot on. If there was ever a year to beat Alabama it’s this year. Their Defense gives up points and their offense has not been tested against a shut down defense. I don’t want to jinx Georgia but if they don’t win by 2 TD’s it would be a shocker to me. Yes, Cincinnati is worthy of a playoff spot.

Agree, I think this is the year a non Power5 team deserves a playoff spot (Cincy, assuming they stay undefeated). Beat ND and Indiana and, quite frankly, no one else outside Georgia has a clear cut path based on record.

I'm sure OSU will be selected if they beat Mich and whoever represents the West in the BIG title game. ACC? Meh. Big12 lost their shoe-in last week when the Sooners lost. PAC-12 no longer has a candidate with Oregon's loss.

Yeah, they look like hot garbage. That crappy quarterback only went 31 of 40 for 559 yards and 5 tds. That ain't gonna cut it against a ranked team, right?

When was the last time Bama lost by 30? I have absolutely no idea but I would bet it has been a while.

The fact that beating a 2-9 Indiana team is arguably Cincinnati’s second best win speaks volumes about their resume.

Lots of really interesting questions at this point in the season:

If Bama beats UGA in the SEC Championship and they both finish 12-1, Bama will have beaten 2 ranked teams (Ole Miss and Arkansas) AND a #1 on a natural site. Georgia would have only 1 ranked win (Arkansas). Which one goes to the BCS playoffs? Both?

If Michigan beats OSU next week, they go to the BIG championship, right? What if they then lose in that game to Wisky or Iowa? What if OSU beats MI and then loses to Iowa or Wisky?

What about a 12-0 UTSA?

I sure wouldn't bet against Saban and Bama..
They won their division and will play at least 14 games this year.

Their offense is very impressive. The defense is inconsistent, you don't know what to expect from game to game. The Georgia match up should be a great game to watch.

Who would you rank #2? Or would you just leave all spots below #1 blank?

BAMA seem to get a mulligan ever since Saban showed up and will be the first team with 2 loses to make the playoff- Just the way it is when you win 5 or 6 Natty's in 10 years.

What's going to happen when Georgia beats them by 30?
They could beat Georgia. Have a nose for winning under Saban. As clutch as clutch gets and I am not a fan just an objective viewpoint. Georgia could wake up mid 3rd quarter against Bama with a 10pt lead, realize the position they are in then choke the game away.

If Bama wins UGA will be # 4 , if Bama loses who's in please no ND.

On a side note !!!!!
When does OU & UT officially play in the SEC and what division or divisions are they in?
