I've noticed that we've recruited a lot of pitchers- and with good reason. I wonder if we are about to see a lot of guys like Drew Hollingshead about to be purged.

Let me see we have:

Chris Stratton- pitcher, likely a weekend starter
CJ Watson- pitcher, likely weekend starter, potential ace.
Kendall Graveman- pitcher- I'd have to think that someone with the last name of Graveman has gotta be a closer.
Ben Bracewell- pitcher/SS- I'm not sure if we're going to use him as a pitcher or a SS or maybe both.
Donnie Tabb- pitcher/OF- Again, I'm not sure if we're going to use him as a pitcher, but I have to think that at 5'10" he's going to be a CF, but again maybe both.
Ethan Bright- 3B/1B- Probably a 1B since he is 6'5", maybe a 3B.
Jarrod Parks- SS- Former Dandy Dozen transfer who will probably be our SS in a couple of years. (Thanks Rick Jones, it's not like you never had a guy named Micah Owings come in as a tranfer and help you out. And <17> you Ron Polk and Tommy Raffo for not recruiting this guy forcing him to sign with Tulane in the first place. Have fun becoming legends at Arkansas State and UAB.)

I'd like to see us get a catcher, a couple of more power hitters, and of course some more pitchers.

Cody Freeman. He, Ryan Collins, Adkins, Hogue and Connor Powers will play next year and probably the next. But yeah you're right, alot of the team is about to purgered.

and if Powers plays at the level he did this year for a full year then he is gone after 09.

But we have the potential for a pretty good lineup.

that we get a catcher because Freeman will be a junior and Duffy will be a senior when the new class comes in. I could see Freeman leaving after his junior year and who knows if Duffy will get with Cohen's program or be purged. We need to get someone that can come in right away and fill the void if need be.

in the next 12 months. I'd be shocked to see more than half of the current players still here by next July.

I couldn't agree with you more, and not just on this guy, on all the rest of the good ball players that wanted to come to State and Ole Dick Head Polk wouldn't give them the time of day.

The more guys we get like this the more I hate the little bastard........</p>
