Not anytime soon. He has the pitcher injury excuse for 2 years minimum IMO.When do they end this experiment?
As long as Tanner is AD these experiments will continue. When do they end this experiment?
Find another power 5 that loses in mens sports as much as us.I am so tired of Losing B&B ball.
Waiting for Football now.
I waited for baseball with high hopes all thru basketball, which ended 18-12 not exciting.
Now waiting for Football. Call me a whiner/complainer if you want. I'm just (temporarily) tired.![]()
Those pitchers wouldn’t help us score more runs and that’s been our issue since Kingston got here. Not anytime soon. He has the pitcher injury excuse for 2 years minimum IMO.
No, but they can sure keep the other team from getting hits and scoring runs. THAT is what wins in this conference. Those pitchers wouldn’t help us score more runs and that’s been our issue since Kingston got here.
A true Gamecock fan wants all varsity sports to excel, to compete well, and to represent USC well, whether or not the fan closely follows the individual sport. They all matter.Only football matters. I don’t even know who the beisbol coach is. Unfortunately, I know who our AD is.
So what if they are/were Tarholes?Kingston is a Tarheel, so was Holbrook. Holbrook got swept at C of C by High Point this past weekend. Neither one of these clowns did anything to even maintain our once very good baseball program! Used to look forward to USC baseball, NOT ANYMORE. Tanner PLEASE RETIRE.
Check Youtube.Did Kingston have a post press conference yesterday? I have tried to Google and didn’t find one. Would be interested in hearing his views after losing all 3 games.
Sums up my current feeling.Currently 91st in offense. 98th defense.
Had high hopes for Kingston but that's fading. Hope we can pick it up.
Ah yes. I knew a “true fan” post was lurking in the shadows, just waiting for its inaugural appearance on the new Board.A true Gamecock fan wants all varsity sports to excel, to compete well, and to represent USC well, whether or not the fan closely follows the individual sport. They all matter.
To be fair, I have no interest in watching the golf teams compete, But I do care that they do well, and am glad when someone posts meet results on FGF.Ah yes. I knew a “true fan” post was lurking in the shadows, just waiting for its inaugural appearance on the new Board.
I like Coke, but I don’t like Cel Ray.To be fair, I have no interest in watching the golf teams compete, But I do care that they do well, and am glad when someone posts meet results on FGF.
If football were the only sport that mattered, why go to the trouble of sponsoring an array of sports (Title IX notwithstanding)?
Gosh, you are the first person who has mentioned cel-ray soda to me in years! I liked it well enough, but not enough to pay $5.00 for a 6-pack of 355ml cans.I like Coke, but I don’t like Cel Ray.

Heard part of it. Said we should feel good that we gave up "only" 6 hits yesterday.Did Kingston have a post press conference yesterday? I have tried to Google and didn’t find one. Would be interested in hearing his views after losing all 3 games.
Sad. And it has nothing to do with his alma mater.Heard part of it. Said we should feel good that we gave up "only" 6 hits yesterday.![]()
I predicted that the Pandemic would not subside until spring 2022. I'm now predicting that barring a miracle, 2023 will be Kingston's last as USC HC.Kingston needs to be taken out asap. His management is garbage.

I am not joking!!!!
Not in direct response to your post, but it put me in mind of one I saw above above about how current malcontented people would have wanted to fire Tanner at this stage. Not necessarily so. Tanner had significant success at NC State before we hired him. He enjoyed more inherent good will than this guy from South Florida. Those who try to equate the early days of Tanner here to those of Kingston are off the beam, I think. These two aren't alike except in the sport they coach(ed).Don't forget Ray Tanner from NC State...I think June Raines got his Grad degree from South Carolina under Bobby Richardson back in the 70's...

He performed more impressively in his previous job (which was at a higher level than Kingston's) and he projected a better persona. These things bought him the time to ramp up his program. So his resume' was better and his personal appeal was better. What did Tanner do / not do to enjoy the inherent good will?
