Find some joy.

JK. I agree with you on most of this, but the guy's gotta be positive. It's the only way to keep doing what he's doing. If anything, Beamer has proved that he's not really a D1 coach... yet. How long we stick with him - especially after a 3-9, 4-8 campaign this year will tell the whole story of our program and whether our athletic admin ever truly desire to be competitive.
You’re missing the point. I get that he’s positive. I get that he’s celebrating and maybe that he’s even mentioning it. Whether that’s the best approach is debatable, but is not the point. THE POINT IS WHY TAKE A SHOT AT THE FANS / MEDIA by singling out that some people won’t be happy about it. If you listen to his PC, it’s clear he’s taking a shot.

Just go be positive. Go celebrate. Whatever. But why take the jab at the fans who weren’t thrilled about the game. He knows why they weren’t. Why call them out? Why bring that up at all? Just go celebrate.

I honestly couldn't stomach his PC. I watched Sellers. I get you and I agree. He needs to stop blaming the fans or even saying it's wrong to be disappointed. He should say, "Like most of the fans, I'm disappointed in our performance. We're going to celebrate the win and get back to work because we need to keep improving." That would instill confidence and give both messages - we need to celebrate wins AND we need to improve (because this win actually sucked balls)."

I recall Steve Spurrier telling fans to not applaud the team after we lost a close game, to, I think, a good Auburn team. That's why he is a Hall Of Famer and Shane Beamer is a pretender.

A W is better than an L any day. Hopefully the players will not want to celebrate.
This is what I'm thinking. Why would the players want to celebrate? They should know that was an embarrassing performance.

It was what CSB told the press so he would have a little time with the team?
