And why shouldn’t he be? The team has over performed for one. He realized 3 games in we need to rely on the defense and stop trying to ge cute. Sellers has matured under this staff. We can lay to rest the “get rid of Beamer” talk for this season. No matter what happens the rest of the way, it’s solid progress.

Beamer is safe. No question. Seriously, it's not a question anymore.
2) Might owe Ray an apology. I've ragged him hard at times....
3) My wish list for the offseason = (at minimum) New OL coach. An upgrade at FG kicker, although I do like Herrera, and possibly a new OC, a few more WR's and we must get 2 back up QB's.

I will say this re: OC - If we win out and look pretty decent doing it - (hate to say it) - no reason to get a new OC. He will have saved his job. Not sure at that point firing him and screwing up a working offense makes much sense, and might even be a setback learning a new system.

Fire Teasley. Shawn Elliott takes over OL. We bring in a new TE coach. No other changes. I think that's my wish for the coaching staff

No you can give Ray a hard time. The staffing agency that helped with the search holds that distinction.

What's wrong with the TE coach?

Beamer is certainly doing a better job as the season has progressed. Part of it may have to due with the relative lack of injuries compared to prior years, but we certainly look more comfortable and confident in our game plan on both sides of the ball. But at his presser he took a shot at pollsters, which indicates to me he still hasn't fully matured yet.

We're in a different world with NIL and the transfer portal (and now unlimited visits). Next years D will be significantly different, and we need a replacement for Rocket. How Beamer handles it will determine his success and legacy.

Side Note: a UGA friend commented yesterday that we look more fit than his team.

#2: Same here. Beamer seems to have a knack for finding the right guys in the portal. His charisma fits the NIL/portal era better than old school ones. He can be a consistent 7-9 game winner here which is great

Shawn Elliott is the TE coach, so assuming he wouldn't coach OL and TE; we'd bring in another on-field coach for TE instead

at his presser he took a shot at pollsters, which indicates to me he still hasn't fully matured yet.
This is my biggest gripe about Beamer. He talks too much, and frequently sounds insecure and immature and overly sensitive. Don't get me wrong - I'm a huge Beamer fan and I was on the Shane Train the millisecond Muschamp was fired.

Beamer was always coming back.

I think that was decided by the timing of the AD hires, regardless if this season went in the toilet. Now, he may be buying a "get out of toilet" card for next year if he racks up some more wins.

Would be nice to have TEs be a bigger factor in our games.

Kiffen isn’t going anywhere, he’s probably going to the playoffs if they win out. You have to be happy with what Beamer has done with what we lost on offense last year. Not to mention how we re-loaded on defense. There’s nothing we can bemoan coming out of last year. I certainly didn’t see us being this physical and this good. If anyone did, I don’t know what you based it on.

I didn't say I'd rather have him. I think Beamer has been pretty good minus the OL coach decision. And for sure NO ONE thought we'd be good this year... Except Beamer... I think he made comments that made it sound like he thought we'd be competitive (but did he really think that or was it just coaches talk?)

Correct, I certainly didn’t think we would be this good either. The o line has progressed and we’ve been fortunate that we haven’t had injuries. The play calling recently is helping the o line show what they can do. I have to give them credit for playing better the past few games over the beginning of the year.
