Rivalry game. Big, late comeback. Lots of emotion. I think it went higher than it was intended.

I agree with Goat, holy ****.

If I'm catch (& I was in HS, cue "Glory Days") I'm blocking the plate like Brian McCann.

The bat flip ******** is out of control. It's a damn shame their coach doesn't put a stop to ridiculous **** like that. I have no problem with them watching a bomb and even a little flip, but **** like that is a damn shame.

I don't have a problem with a bat flip, but good Lord that was dangerous.

I don’t have a problem with bat flips, but in this case I also wouldn’t have a problem with the catcher waiting to dust him up at home plate.

The flip doesn’t bother me. What bothered me is it could’ve hit someone in the head.

Yep. I'm all for being caught up in the moment. It's another thing to be a disrespectful lil *****, who'd complain if he took one in the ribs the next at bat. Note, I didn't say head.

If countries like Japan and South Korea can embrace the bat flip, then America can too.

There's a gray area between celebratory & disrespectful. In that part of the world honor, self-respect, & dignity carry more weight than they do here.

Love it. I also think the pitchers should do dances after every strike out. Scratch that. Every strike.

Yep, that guy would have been thrown out before he out of the batters box. I would have waved off the homer too.

You might get a 102 mph heater to the grill. We may not get a hit against the TN pitcher throwing 102-103 mph

A dance by the pitcher after every strike? Yes, that would be so awesome!

The bat flip is more evidence that all sports are moving away from true competition and moving towards silly entertainment.

After that show of disrespect, he better watch his back the next time he crosses N State Street.

He should get two in the ear hole

Next two AB’s. Or a Joey Bautista punch in the face.

I'm not against big game-big time HR bat flips, but this is too much. Heck, just sling it into the stands next time.

As a whole, I'm not a fan of every HR everybody hits being pimped and accompanied by a bat flip. I mean, come on.

Call me old school, but as they say, "I remember my first beer."

The kid basically just screwed up the opportunity of a life time to do a really cool bat flip.

A little bad blood brewing between these two?

[tweet]1507062375073132545[/tweet]

Forget the disrespect. That is just flat out dangerous. Did you see the catcher's reaction? He was looking for where that sucker was coming down. It's like slinging your bat only much worse.

Yeah, that's my point. If cultures much more sensitive to those things than Americans are can lighten up and embrace bat flips as cool and fun, so can we.
