I read something along those lines yesterday. That the lung transplant was successful and all but that was an old photo that was posted. Not sure what the truth is but at least we know he's still fighting.
Not sure about picture but I have heard he's up and walking

Truly amazing he has seemingly pulled through and is on the mend. Feel how you want about his opinions, there aren't many others out there who have had a larger or more positive influence on modern wrestling. I have young kids and have been trying to get some of his instructional videos and impart his more modern approach within his academy on the kids versus some of their youth coaches and friend's fathers who are very much stuck in the old school mindset about weight cutting and training.

“If you didn't cry and also pump you fist while watching Ben's video, you aren't human”

Askren’s video is very moving, but if every current-war victim’s family adopts Willie’s standard, then either everyone has to cry all the time or nobody is human.

Yeah, I know Willie’s words are hyperbole, but it also exemplifies a trend in which people demand that I feel their pain and show it their way, or I’m a bad person (not human).

Same here. They want the circulation working.
Correct. It’s multi factorial. The more you move, the less chance of developing blood clots. Also, lying around doesn’t promote moving any secretions out of your lungs and makes you more prone to pneumonia. That’s why the push to get up and moving ASAP and use incentive spirometry (that little plastic breathing apparatus that the nurses nag you about).

so glad to see Ben getting healthy but MMA star is a little overboard!
Ben won his first 19 actual MMA matches, including championships, in Bellator and ONE. Then, as an old man, he got caught by a knee and then by a choke to lose the last two matches of his career, in UFC. His last match should be very fun to watch for us as it is full of wrestling/jiu jitsu. I would say he was winning before he got caught in a choke: (I like to watch most of it 2x speed by holding a finger on the right side of the screen on my iPhone, in the YouTube app or *not fullscreen* here in this thread.)

This headline shows that what the doctor told me about having an organ donor card is enough of a real concern that real journalists are willing to write about it. Please, spare us your prejudice against New York Times. I did not read the article, as it’s behind a pay wall, and I’m cheap.IMG_5357.jpeg

As a physician, you can bet I’m trying to steal your organs. Stop resisting.
