Be grateful for Cristil. Seriously.

and to the guy that said that Kellum should be on the list- please tell me my sarcasm meter is broken.

When does Jack become too mentally impaired to continue? I am just asking the question. He is a bigger Bulldog Icon than Polk, and I have been a fan of his for over 30 years. However, over the past few years, his ability to get things and names right has slowly eroded. Yeah, "Randy" Stewart is kind of funny to many folks, but may not be funny to Barry. So, when does the voice of the Bulldogs hang it up? Any thoughts?

He hangs it up whenever state gets a national championship.

younger than 65-70 years old has NEVER heard anyone but him call a Bulldog football game and they probably don't remember anyone else doing it anyway.

...and I still want him in the broadcast booth. He's had to put up with Mississippi State's **** for 55 years, and he can leave when he decides he wants to leave.

"One man to beat, brought down behind the line of scrimmage for a two yard loss."

And lest we forget that every shot Gerald Glass ever took was "an All American shot".

is that you don't have to wait for him to tell you the score to know whether OM is ahead or behind. Just listen to the tone of his voice.

OM behind: "Handoff to Green-Ellis. Finds his way up the middle for about 3. Second down."

OM ahead: "Andthere'sthehandofftoGreen-Ellis! Jukes, makes a great MOVE... LOOK OUT... ONE MAN TO BEAT! HOLY ****!!! OHHHHHHHHHH HE ALMOST BROKE IT ALL THE WAY!!!!!!!!!!!!! GAIN OF THREE!"

When we're beating anyone, be it Northwestern State or Memphis, we're 17'ing awesome and he wants to put up another fake championship banner.

When we're losing, the search for scapegoats begins with the officials, takes a circuitous route around anyone associated with whichever of our athletic teams is playing, and is eventually written off as yet another "tough break for the Rebs!"

What's most depressing is that Kellum's not even the worst component of our broadcast crew. That honor goes to Stanley "We just earned a hard-fought victory over a great Arkansas State team" Sandroni. Not since Dave Rowe dined alone has so much insipidity been contained in one place.
