the point spread on this game has been 3-4 for a while. Most of the media types see it as higher 6-7 pts. Listening to some of the ESPNU guys that looked at the matchups, here were some of the points mentioned:
- Oregon OTs are elite vs Penn State elite edge guys. we are assuming DDS is back full 100%. Can Oregon OTs protect QB?
- Oregon interior line vs PS DTs. Oregon avg IOL, but Penn State is done on DTs, so is this a push? Zane Durant impact?
- Oregon WRs big advantage over Penn State DBs
- RB is considered elite although not a big guy and not much depth.
- QB mobile and elite vs Penn State being able to deal with mobile QBs.
- Overall Oregon offense has more ways to succeed -
- Penn State OTs are avg against strong Oregon edge. Expect pressure on Allar.
- Penn State IOL vs Oregon DTs - advantage Oregon.
- Penn State RBs - Nick elite but Katron currently may be hurt. vs Oregon front 7 = limited run success.
- Penn State QB vs Oregon rush - advantage Oregon and will depend on Allar being mobile and running when open.
- Penn State WRs vs Oregon DBs - Oregon advantage.
- Penn State TEs vs Oregon safeties - Penn State advantage.
