IMHO, a blowout would eliminate the loser. A close UM win would still get OSU into the playoff since they're always a darling of the committee. A close OSU win would put UM on the bubble. A lot would depend on other CCGs.

Does the loser of next
weeks game at the Horseshoe still get in the playoff. I say yes, and the cheating stripes made sure of it yesterday!
It really all depends on what else happens in the college football world. If Georgia and TCU go undefeated, and USC or Clemson win out convincingly, I think it's likely the Big Ten has 1 team in the playoffs. That may change if OSU/UM is a nail-biter. TBD.

Who would be left? Tennessee is out. USC maybe if they win the PAC. I think the loser still gets in. Feel for Illinois however, they got royally hosed. Nobody will ever tell me they don’t freaking cheat!

I'd say a one loss conference champion USC would get in over a one loss non-conference champ UM. IHMO, of course. A TCU loss would really upset the apple cart.

Possibility increased with UTk losing yesterday. Advantage that the loser of the Big Game has is that the other contenders have later games and later losses typically have a greater impact on voters.

Maybe USC if they win out? How about definitely? Their 1 loss is by 1 on the road to a ranked team in the final minute. They give up a ton of points but they still win.

Still a lot of game left and I don’t think the chaos is over by any stretch.

Let's say Clemson rolls the Carolinas in their next 2, and USC does the same to ND/Oregon ... you don't think they're going to pick one of the 1-loss conference champs over a 1-loss team that didn't even make their conference's championship game?

The only way the loser of nexts week's game gets in the CFP is if 2 of the 3 among USC TCU, and Clemson finish as 2 loss conference champions. In other words, if 2 of the 3 finish as 1 loss conference champions, they will go instead of the loser of UM and OSU.

Yeah, if USC or Clemson win out, they are in over the tOSU/UM loser. TCU losing to Iowa St but then winning the championship is a little more iffy but probably still in over the B10 loser.

I don’t think so. Georgia and um/ OSU winner is in if conference championship. Tcu is in if undefeated, and I don’t see them leaving out a one loss conference champ( usc/ Clemson).
Long shot even with a loss. Be interesting if there are many upsets in Conf champ gamed

If TCU loses, it's out. USC wins out and they're in. Clemson depends on other things happening.

I hope they both get in as that is good for the conference and good for us and bad for the SEC. I hope they both get blown out in their semi-final games 100-0.

I thought the 12th game didn’t count?

Edit. for the record, I only want one B10 team. Preferably zero. I’d like osu to hang 70 on scum and then the pathetic west winner stun the Buckeyes

No. The final 4 will be:

1) Winner of BIG championship (I am predicting OSU)

2) TCU (if they win remainder of their games they are a lock)

3) Winner of SEC championship (I am predicting LSU who is a very hot team right now)

4) Georgia (losing their first game against LSU but will still qualify them)

The UM game officiating crew got their marching orders from high up in the B10 hierarchy to assure a matchup of the only two teams that count in the conference as a matchup of undefeated squads. This raises the profile of the B10 in the national spotlight, which enhances the revenue stream to the conference. Its all about those two teams and nothing else. The B10 got what it wanted.

I think it highly unlikely both OSU and UM make the CFP. The committee has done it with the SEC, because of their love affair with the SEC. After Georgia, all the SEC teams have at least 2 losses. A two loss team will not make the CFP.

If 2 loss LSU wins the SEC Championship, they automatically quality for the CFP.

I say if Michigan wins OSU still gets in, if OSU wins Michigan is out. The media has a love affair with OSU...

Don’t think 1-loss tOSU would get in before 1-loss USC, but 1-loss Clemson? There are a couple games involving ND to consider.

I would say tOSU over Clemson would be appropriate based on the results of the season.

Would there be anything better than a Noah Cain led LSU Tiger squad beat the UGa Dogs? 🤷🏼‍♂️

Noah had 3 TD’s yesterday.

His concerning Listrac injury appears to have healed. 🙏
