I’m heading up to Happy Valley for the match against Mich at BJC. Do I need a parking pass for the big lot across the street or is it free for wrestling matches?

I don't know about wrestling, but for basketball games (although not the other night against Iowa), parking is restricted to a couple of entries and folks collect a parking fee. We have a parking pass, but I think individual parking is $10 for an event. I would expect for a wrestling sellout that PSU will collect money.

I haven't seen anything released by PSU with details about parking for either of the duals being held at the BJC. The info is usually in the Match Notes in advance of the dual.
As a means of reference, below is what they released in advance of last season's Ohio State dual which was held at the BJC. I think you can rest assured that you'll be paying to park.
PARKING CHANGES FOR BJC DUAL
Parking for the Penn State Wrestling Dual on Feb. 4, 2022 at the Bryce Jordan Center will be available at the following locations beginning two hours prior to the start of the match:
• Stadium West, Jordan East, Porter North
o No charge with a valid Penn State parking permit
o $5.50 prepaid through ParkMobile - https://psu.parkmobile.io/venue/bryce-jordan-center/events/114385
o $10 day-of-event without a valid permit or prepayment
