I don't know where you were this past February, but Ole Miss clearly won the Super Bowl this year.

I was too young to really care when Sid slid in the '92 NLCS, but if I could go back in time and watch any game in person, that would be it.

As far as I know this board has:

fishwater - 3.5/4.0
dawgstudent - 3.5
me - 3.0/3.5
mr meoff - 3.0
you - 3.0

I'm in for a tournament too. Who else is out there in the Jackson area?

According to my brother, even though there were plenty of people there you could move around a lot easier than he thought he'd be able to. My cousin has actually qualified to run in it (she was the 7th woman in the Toronto marathon last year). She didn't run Boston this year, but hopefully she will next year and give me an excuse to get up there for it. My chances of ever running in it are the same as yours, none.

....with three wins already in the series, more runs on the scoreboard than the other team in the potential deciding game, with two outs in the ninth and a pop fly already in the air.

I got so damn close to this in 2002.

I think is what it was. I had already called my Yankee homer friend to ask for congratulations. You can blame me for the choke job.

Let me in bitches. I'm a 3.5, but not in Jackson. I'm actually playing on a MSU fan's (a former Sigma Chi from the delta if you want to guess) team in Oxford.

There is a strong chance that I have played against some of you at state ntrp tournaments. My teams usually end up there in all three seasons.

....Dusty Baker's little kid crying his eyes out on Dusty's shoulder after the Giants lost. It still haunts me.

...for the National Championship. That, after winning the Egg Bowl by a chickenshit ref call followed by a game-winning wind-aided Field Goal, leading BWayne and his buddies to begin cussing, racist rants that causes all the OM committments to suddenly decide on other schools.

I had the phone ready to call my Braves fan friends to ask if we were a dynasty, what with one world title and all. Thanks for bringing that back up, I just threw up in my mouth a little.

The only thing that would've made it any better would have been a reference to Brad Lott and remarks to a person of color.

I realize it came to be that he was an *******, but I absolutely idolized the guy growing up. I had Will Clark everything in my room, batted left handed and tried to swing that sweet swing just like him growing up. I haven't quit on The Giants ever since. Maybe I'm not catching something here (which is probably the case), but why would you say since the days of Candy Maldonado and Chili Davis and not Will 'The Thrill' Clark?

this weekend and the mullet toss? Definitely top 5, redneck chicks in stars and bars bikinis and white trash men in cutoffs, it doesn't get any better than that.

any State fan that's also a marginal baseball fan knows Will Clark. I threw out a couple of other names to show it wasn't just Will Clark that I knew. Clark was my favorite player as a kid as well, but I was trying to establish Six Pack State/Giants fan internet cred.

An American winning it. Never has happened, probably never will. George Hincapie is the closest...
