Looks like the boys are picking up right where they left of last year, pop up and down the lineup, bullpen doing it’s job, they’ve had a rash of minor injuries, but still making all the right moves so far!

Interested to know if y’all are liking Chip Carey’s replacement Brandon Gaudin?

The rotation is excellent. I pray we can add Soroka again. One can never have enough bulls in the pen but it looks good so far.

Murphy is a great addition. We need to solve the Ozuna problem soon.

They should have hired a Southerner or Peter Moylan to replace Chip. Gaudin kind of annoys me, but Chip did too at first and then I liked him. Of course we were extremely spoiled for decades! I'm in my 30s, but announcers make me cringe by talking about themselves. Silence is OK and preferable. They also sometimes overlook the game at hand like it is less important than some other BS they want to talk about.

Soroka is looking good in his rehab assignment. I've been really impressed with Elder. He's a good looking young arm. Strider, Fried, & Soroka healthy with Wright & Elder would be an outstanding rotation.

LF is killing us. Rosario and Ozuna are struggling big time.

This team seems so mature now without certain guys. I think it's because MH2, Strider, Elder, etc. are wise beyond their years. Acuña and Albies have grown up before our eyes! And it's hard to believe that Fried is pushing 30 now. This team is relentless and has not been at full strength. They are fun to watch and are in beast mode early.

Good take, I still think Acuna still has some maturing to do, but he's so fun to watch I give him a bit of a break on all the home run trot antics, I can't believe he doesn't get drilled more. Hated to se Freddie go, but in the next few years I believe you're going to be amazed at what Olson does, younger player, longer contract for less money and a hometown boy, man that was a no brainer from AA. Hate to lose Dansby, IMO he was the heart of the team, but again just too much money and it's been fun to me to see them come up with an answer, Arcia has filled in nicely. You're right WB, this team is fun and should be together for a nice long run, already got some Mariner and Dodgers tix! Thanks AA

Regarding maturity, I meant Luke Jackson, Will Smith, etc.

Outside of the baserunning and fielding incidents back in 2018 when he was very young, Ronald Acuña Jr. has always acted relatively mature. He always kept his cool after getting hit by so many pitches. A home run celebration has little to do with maturity.

Honestly, Acuña Jr. has a Golgotha tattoo and always praises God so I don't get why people on here always disrespected him since day 1. Well, I do have some idea but I'll keep it under my hat.

Anyway, we killed the Marlins today. Good gracious what a beatdown.

Question of the day: did Matt Olson spoil the perfect game and no-hitter, or would Mario have lost it anyway?

Strider 81 strikes on 101 pitches, broke Smoltz team record (8) of at least 9 strikeouts in consecutive games next up Nolan Ryan at 11 in a row in 1977.
