You forgot "crossing Parking Lot 80"Back in my day we used to go to class in 6 feet of snow and 155 mph winds, barefoot, uphill both ways. We'd die of exposure, revive ourselves, and keep walking, because we weren't soft. Kids these days!
Blizzard of 78. A foot on Thursday and then two more feet on Friday. Now *that* was a snowstorm....This what a snowstorm at Penn State used to look like when I was a student. I was one of the lucky ones that had to dig my car out of Parking Lot 83 with the multipurpose tool known as a cafeteria tray.

Give the poor kiddies somewhat of a break; many have been coddled by helicopter parents all their lives. That leads to softness, indecision, and moving back in with mommy and daddy once they old enough to be on their own. Yep, times have changed. I don’t remember any classes being canceled when I was at PSU, but I clearly remember the frigid winds blowing across parking lot 80 when I headed to morning classes. That was a great way to wake up. Sort of.I live in State College and it currently looks to be raining and the temperature is just above freezing. I remember classes being canceled one time and that was during an 18" snow storm. I also remember almost everyone being gone the 2nd half of finals week except for me. I always seemed to have a "bleeping" last day final.
