He was invited, but visited GT instead. On the surface the de-commitment looks good for us, but like said above, who knows what he might do.

but I thought the timing was interesting because I was thinking he was at the cookout.

USC target 2025 SAF Jontae Gilbert of Atlanta has decommitted from Ohio State. He made the announcement Saturday night. He visited USC Thursday and was at Georgia Tech Saturday. Following the USC visit, Gilbert said the Gamecocks were running second behind the Buckeyes and stood a good chance to spin him their way.

Right. Long way to go on this recruit. With all the factors at work in todays climate it’s diffulct to predict where this young man will enroll. As we are seeing with a couple of recruits who we lead for most of the recruiting season things are fluid and are subject to change at the end of the cycle. One minute you think you are leading only to discover they’ve deserted you at the end. Glad I’m not a coach cause this had to be a real downer.
Battling Georgia Tech for a kid should be a gimme. If/when he goes to tech when classes are in session and sees the women there, he will cross them off of his list immediately.
