Bruce is touring again? Will you be going to see him?

Apparently for the first time in six years. He plays the Wells Fargo Center in Philly on March 16, and the BJC on March 18. Winds it up at the Prudential Center in Newark on April 14 before heading to London. I am disappointed he won't be making any appearances in California. Oh well ...

Here's a link to his tour schedule:

I'm waiting for a stadium tour. Maybe that way I won't need a second mortgage to afford tickets. Way too much demand for arena shows in my neck of the woods.

You're a little late to the conversation. We discussed this a good bit in this thread, when the tour was announced:

FWIW, his indoor tour in the US is pretty short, with no built-in opportunities to add additional shows in the cities where ticket demand was crazy. Bruce and the band are then heading to Europe for some outdoor shows. The expectation/rumor is that at the end of that, they're going to return to the US and doing some outdoor concerts, though there has been no confirmation of this/dates announced.

Recently, the band and he held some long practice sessions in Trenton, NJ at the Cure Arena, to get ready for the tour. I think that was last week; not certain of the dates. No fans were allowed in, but some put together snippets of info and figured what was happening, and were able to hear bits and pieces of the practice from outside the arena.

Bought my tickets the day they went on sale. Will be my first time seeing him. Never been a huge fan, but it's The Boss, have to see him before he hangs it up or stops touring with the full E-Street Band. We were fortunate and got tickets before the dynamic pricing kicked in, ours were between $150-$200 each including fees. Sad to think that's considered "affordable" for a concert these days.

I’m not a huge fan of his music but I do like him. I’d go if able. He’s a generational talent and up there with the best ever of my lifetime.

We got ours for BJC. 4 tix in separate rows but same section. Ticket demand was insane. First time seeing Bruce, but have been a fan of his music.

IMHO, the full E Street band ceased to exist when Clarence died. The man had a huge presence on stage, literally and figuratively. I'm sure whoever replaced him is very talented but there's no way it can be the same.

Clarence's nephew, Jake, has taken his place. Your last statement is spot on.

Going to see Bruce for the first time this March in Greensboro. The tickets were expensive, but less than what I paid for 2 tickets to take my daughter to see Taylor Swift this coming August.

We see Bruce for the I don’t know how many times at bjc March 18th. Got great seats the day they went on sale. Got lucky. $300 per Tix. We decided to go to Rome in may. When I was looking around for concerts or sports while we are there, Bruce is there. So we will see Bruce outside at Circus Maximus. Tix in Rome €139 each. Can’t wait.

It has gotten outrageous. The tickets available for both the Elton John and Stevie Nicks shows here in Charleston, SC, this summer were almost all in the $400 - $2000 range each. And that's before the ridiculous, and truly offensive, added "fees" for the privilege of being robbed. How fortunate I am to have seen virtually all of the great rock stars and bands back in the late 60's and 70's for usually something in the $10 - $20 range. Of course a draft beer was about .50 cents then too.

Mea culpa, Tom, but Springsteen just played, last night, the initial date (in Tampa) of the tour to which you are referring. It resulted in a news article being posted to the Comcast.net website, and THAT is what I was reacting to in commencing this thread. Here is the link:

Go Eagles! (Just kidding. Really.)

Not a chance. Not for $500+ and to hear his political views and hypocrisy.

Have seen him well over a dozen times, probably closer to two dozen. We have tickets to Six in Pittsburgh on March 18 ( super excited ) and we will be overseas when he plays all the April shows nearby so hopefully….… summertime!

BTW, the night of the BJC show is also Wrestling Nationals Finals.

Oh crap... didn't realize/remember the wrestling finals were that night. We are going to see Bruce at the BJC, so I will have to record the finals. And stay off of BWI until I get a chance to watch!
It's also the first day of the 2nd round of the NCAAs, and the final game of the B1G Hockey Tournament, so lots going on in the world of college sports that time of year. Hopefully, both the PSU mens hockey and hoops are both still playing!

No. I dig him as a person and musician; his interview with Howard Stern was enlightning. But he's just not my bag. I'd rather see Eric B and Rakin or Jay Z or Radiohead.

The arena will be full, so I guess there are a lot of people like me who don't mind.
Obviously not, but different stokes for different folks. Me? I pay to have entertainers do just that and I hold that view with respect to all entertainers with all political views.

I've seen him 5 times. When his concerts were 4 hours long. Those were the days. Missed the opportunity to see him when I was at Penn State, in 74. Had no idea who he was back then. That was before his Born to Run album came out.

I have seen him 7 times. My wife has seen him 31 times, including on Broadway. Not going this time. Grandkids are our priority now.
