Bryan Edwards Cut by Falcons

The trade from Las Vegas to Atlanta was not a good fit for Edwards. He was a factor in the LV passing game. Unfortunately, the two feature receivers for the Falcons were number 1 draft picks in their respective years.: Pitts(Fl.) and Drake(USC). They were the primaries in the Atlanta attack. Hope Edwards can catch on with another team. A lot of times it's who you end up with and their needs as opposed to your ability.

He did ok in 2021 with 34 catches. But that was a good offense for him to thrive in and, for whatever reason, he couldn’t. The writing was on the wall when he could break in for the Raiders. Hate it for him. He’s a likeable guy and I thought he could have a decent NFL career.

Dameire Byrd is still with Falcons and productive.Edwards should have been more of a possession receiver.Run a route and “post up”on smaller DB’s but that didn’t happen.
