We never should have hired Cohen as AD. The was an average baseball coach at best and sure the heck wasn’t qualified to be an AD.

Also no. Everyone on this board, in June 2018, would have taken the next 6 years exactly as they happened if it meant a national championship. (As far as baseball goes. Overall, COVID and NIL change the equation)

All those teams had good players who played really hard. It was more about them than the coach. I want the guy who recruited them.
Sell. We got our first national championship in ANY SPORT. Yeah I’m a Lemonis hater but I’m glad we finally got a banner. And I think a lot of people would agree with me
So no one thinks Henderson could’ve done the same thing Lemonis did in 2021? Y’all have a lot more confidence in Lemonhead than me.

Sell. Forever grateful to Gary for 2018 but nothing about him as a head coach other than that one year says he’s cut out for it. He’s only had a winning record at Utah once, never made the NCAAT. Was pretty mediocre at Kentucky, only two NCAAT’s in 7 years.
He was a great caretaker during a tough situation but he’s not a program builder nor a program sustainer.

It does not matter who you think could have done something… Lemonis did it. A lot of good coaches have had good rosters and not won a title. Lemonis did. You guys are letting yourself be prisoners of the moment too much. Quit overthinking. Lemonis won a championship. He did a hell of a job his first 3 years on the job. Been **** ever since.
I took a lot of flack for this. But getting a team to the CWS as an interim after almost a revolt against the old coach by the players, should have earned him the full time job.
Sell. It was the right thing to do even though we made what turned out to be a bad hire. Henderson could have easily led us to an NC as he almost did two years prior. The only wild cards are if he would have been able to land Bednar and Sims.
