JV has 20 games left this season for sure (19 regular, 1 SEC tourney). He needs 79 blocks to tie and 80 to get the all time shot block record. That's 4 per game, exactly how many he got last night. Does he get the record?
he is ahead of his pace from last year and is due for a couple of his 10 block games. Last night the teams wouldn't even bring it inside during the first half but got brave as the game went on and he quickly picked up four blocks without even playing most of the second half. You will have plenty of young guards and big men that will want to try and make their name going against Jarvis. I can see Cousins and Wall from Kentucky wanting a piece of him. Jarvis has actually gotten better at actually playing defense instead of just allowing the other post to get the ball down low and trying to block every shot. However it seems like it has helped him in that he doesn't pick up the cheap fouls that used to hamper him.
