Asphalt City
Dune Part 2 is a modern day sci fi spectacle that needs to be seen in IMAX. Holy schnikes what a film!! Reminiscent of old school Hollywood blockbusters. The scenery and technology were mind bending.
I'm still in shock from the experience. I read the book like 20 years ago and the choices made to adapt this were all great. This film was so big and loud and visceral. It destroyed me. I have to pick up the pieces now. The whole experience was surreal and shocking and uncomfortable in the best way. Same feeling as Blade Runner 2049. You feel like you're 25,000 years into a terrible future. Of course I made sure I was so high I didn't know what century I was in. That's key.
I don't think I've been in a theater for about 5 years, so going directly to this in IMAX was like never seeing a concert and then going to see Led Zeppelin.
We should have a stoned review thread. Rules: watch AND review movie stoned
Ok, but pro tip, no David Lynch movies, they are already a trip.We should have a stoned review thread. Rules: watch AND review movie stoned

I do have that as a guilty pleasure. But I want to watch the old Dune again now.

Looks good. I went into the first with low expectations and I really liked it. Lady Gaga definitely needs more movie roles - looks great here too…
Ehh pop music has its placeI hate pop music and all its attachments but Gaga is special. Agree completelye

Not really a huge fan of action movies, but I thought this was outstanding. Planning on going again. Definitely worth seeing on a big screen.

Great movie!
The movie The Gentlemen, with McConaughy and Farrell, was good, IMO.Can't wait to see this. Guy Ritchie was up there with Tarantino for me in the early 00's. We watched Snatch and Lock Stock & Two Smoking Barrels almost non-stop in the barracks. This looks like a return to form after a bit of a slump (I haven't liked anything since Rocknrolla). Ritchie's Netflix show 'The Gentlemen' is also top notch.
Henry Cavill (6'1", 215) looks puny next to Alan Ritchson....
Megalopolis
Good catchThis is gonna be so much fun. Emma Corrin as Cassandra Nova is making me uncomfortable...in a good way. Getting some strong Lt. Ilia (Star Trek) vibes...
