I've been on several sites and listened to several sports shows today, and this is the biggest theme of last night's game.

The class of which the team showed in victory. I believe this is why Caitlin and her teammates are so loved. To see the way Reese and the LSU team acted this year and last, folks don't want to see that. Hood Rat Reese should take a lesson from Clark and her team members, win with class and you have the world by a string. Act like a bunch of hooligans and people run for hills to get away from you.

I sure hope another Caitlin type player comes along with the same level of class, as you just see the fans who wait for her to come out after the games, to see her and get an autograph, is what America desires from its superstars.

Everybody can have a "bad time of month" right?
Ahhh... i don't.

Maybe, she was pissed that the WV Coach made the comment that they were going to send Caitlin Clark packing from the tournament.

But not a good look for the "Role Model" that everyone is trying to make her be.

Yea, she certainly isn’t trashy like Reese, but that also doesn’t make her the saint everyone pretends she is. I don’t think even Caitlin herself would claim to be some sort of perfect role model.

I'm not defending her every move cause she seems to be more of a me person and not a team person HOWEVER the media is all over her during the game. Last night there was stuff going on in the game and the camera was on her doing nothing. She can't even pick her nose privately.
I guess my "dislike" and others' dislike for her is due to the over exposure and constant hype.

Looked like a very calculated PR move, very much out of character for Clark, implemented for image enhancement and damage control designed to counter recent bad publicity.

It's not just Caitlin, it's the whole IOWA team who has shown class throughout the years.

Plus it's really easy to be cordial in victory

I respect Clark's game, and l don't dislike her, even those she plays for another team. Her simps, though, are insufferable.

This times 💯 .
Clark has shown her true sportsmanship regularly, and most notably in the final 4 vs. USC last year publically disrespecting her opponent. And, earlier this year pushing a player to the floor, I believe not once, but twice. And, acting like a soccer player after common fouls. She is a great women's basketball player but I would not call her classy. BTW, was her coach "classy" after a loss this year when she was late for the post game presser then threw a fit and refused to attend because they went ahead with the other team?

The cameras were rolling Monday night. Neither team was going to create a scene. The star players needed to behave for NIL/endorsements. Plus, as mentioned earlier in the thread, it is a lot easier to be gracious after a win. It was an exemplary night for behavior on the part of both teams. The officials would have been all over unsportsmanlike conduct. CC needs to act classy when she thinks she does not need to. That would go a long way to changing my opinion. Which -- I am sure -- she highly values. ;)
