It's very simple actually. Bottom line is > Gamecocks history is beating teams they have no business beating.

Add to that UcheaT will think it will be a cakewalk (and it should be) but the ball bounces funny sometimes. I'm calling the massive upset now. We'll need Lloyd though.

Laugh away. Ok, I'm really, really done now. Said everything I wanted to say in different threads and if you notice during the week - I don't post new threads or even respond to threads in progress. I just love CFB Saturdays.

For the reasoning you mention it would not surprise me if we actually come out and look fairly respectable. Because that’s the kind of thing we do. We come out and look halfway decent in a game in which we should get blown out, and suddenly our fans are thinking “maybe just maybe we’ve turned a corner “ and then will come out and lose by 40 to Clemson.

Please put down the bottle and head to bed.
I'm 100% clean Vienna. I promise. BTW - Zona now 21-14 over #12 UCLA / Halftime. You're a loooooong time poster and you know what I'm saying is true: Gamecocks more often than not wind up beating teams they have no business beating and losing to teams we have no business losing to. I don't know why but that's how it goes down usually at least once per season.

But yeah, I'm 100% sober sir. (I like you too Vienna) Let's just agree to disagree right now and see how it turns out. I'm very well aware we should get slaughtered - which is why we won't. It's maddening and makes no sense but that's Gamecock Football for you. <shrugs>

I rather beat clemmy
Me too but UcheaT would be the bigger upset and knock them right out of the CFB playoffs because they don't belong in the CFB playoffs to begin with. Their #1 ranking for a week was pathetic. Eh...... screw it, let's beat em' both.

I'm just a third party "Tater" commenter here, but Trident does at least have one good point.

UofSC really isn't an SEC caliber program, and never really has been, outside of the good Spurrier years. The admin seems content with mediocrity. Yeah we (Clemson) may have an easier path in the ACC, BUT, so would UofSC, and I can guarantee our fan base wouldn't put up with what's going on down in Columbia right now, even if we were in the SEC. Heads would roll in a swift manner. If the admin refuses to make the changes necessary to compete in the SEC, then why even bother staying? (Yes, I know Vandy exists, but why accept that bottom half mentality when UofSC SHOULD and DOES have the resources to do better?)

They can score on offense, and we can't = Tenn win no matter how many special special team plays we make.

UT week. Hello, gamecock fans. I sometimes visit opposing teams' sites to give opinions and hear the takes of the fans prior to the game. I feel like UT will score in the 40s and I'm not sure a Rattler-led offense can keep up with that many points. What-say-you?

No reason you all belong in the SEC. Worst decision ever to allow SC and Arkansas in years ago. YOU DONT BELONG!
You’re an idiot. Final four. Spurrier years. Back to back in baseball. Two and counting in women’s basketball. National champion tennis player. Girls soccer. I’m tired of listing…..Please go back to your site.

All 3 of Clemrons "Championships" are illegitimate.

81' - bought and paid for and everybody knows. It's not a secret
#2 - illegal pick play
#3 - Ostarine Cheetahs......

You may now crawl back under your precious (and fraudulent) rock. Bye bye now. Try not to get too fat on those cupcakes in the A SHE SHE.

Look, I get rivalries breed hate and all that, but none of that has anything to do with the current conversation. Besides, you'd probably kill to have 3 National Championships, no matter how you got them (and your '16 and '18 arguments are tenuous, at best).

Regardless, yes, we have an easier path, as I said, but I dare say y'all wouldn't have fared much better in the ACC over the past decade or so than you have in the SEC. If our games against each other are anything to go by, you wouldn't have won a conference championship, for sure. MAYBE a division title, if you were in the Coastal. So, keep parroting "the weak ACC" narrative, but that's also a weak argument when y'all would still have been middle of the pack in that same weak ACC.
