Can I say a little something about the bitching at Stan?

Um, Vanderbilt, as a team, shot about their average percentage from 3 pt. range. We just saw Foster go on an unbelievable streak. But they couldn't get anything from the inside. Ignore Foster's performance. We still beat Vandy if we shoot a decent percentage from the free throw line or just a bad percentage from 3 pt. range. There is no doubt in my mind that Vandy is a top ten team when they play on their home floor. Our performance was impressive to say the least.

Our team has made SIGNIFICANT strides in my opinion these last two games. We have discovered a very effective zone (Stans doing) and our rebounding (especially limiting offensive rebounds) has been absolutely tremendous. With our great defense, limiting second chance points is key. Vandy only had 12 second chance points tonight and only shot 7 or 8 more times than we did. The number one reason why we have been so successful in these last two roads game has been our dominant defensive rebounding. Number two has been controlling our turnover problem.

Additionally, Rhodes has finally become the player we all thought he could be. He is consistently dominant. That makes us scary especially if we have Hans or Stewart really hot during a game.

This is the same poster who was very critical of our rebounding a few weeks ago. People, we went on the road and would have won if we had hit a few free throws and if Foster wasn't unconscious. We are still 15-4 in our last 19 games.

Storm you failed to say that if we had tried a different defense on Foster at the end of the game we might have won.

that can stop a guy from shooting from 30 foot in college ball, especially when that guy is 6'6" and can shoot over 3/5 of your lineup. Go ask Coach K, Bruce Pearl, Rick Patino, or any of the other great coaches in the nation and they won't have an answer either.

Come on guys, that's pretty damn obvious. Stansbury didn't want to win this game. He also told his team to miss free throws and told the ref to call that offensive foul on Varnado. Perhaps one day we'll fire this crackpot coach who is holding us back and hire a moron who can take us back to the pre-Richard Williams glory days.

Deny the him the ball.

Play a triangle and two.

Foul him.

If he does not have the ball, then he can not shoot... Period..

Good Night

</p>You can't keep the ball out of a player's hands the whole time. "Deny the ball, it's that simple." No, it isn't.

Play a triangle a 2 30 feet from the basket? Yep, that'll work.

Foul him every time he gets the ball? Good strategy. We won't need Gordon, Hans, Randy, Benock, or Turner late in the game.
