The problem is that you still have State fans and media saying stuff like “I just don’t understand why there’s negativity around Selmon”.

Yeah, I mean, why would there be? Baseball’s a **** show that he could’ve fixed two years ago but didn’t, we’re back to the Croom era of football, and basketball just had a disappointing end to the year. All while OM was a win away from the CFP, they just made a sweet 16 that we haven’t seen in 29 years, and their baseball team is rolling. They are absolutely kicking our a$$es in the NIL era, but hey, we’re getting LED lights in the stadium this Fall

It’s an absolute clown show

The reason we were so far behind in NIL is because of Cohen….We were a year and half behind everyone else when Selmon took over….

I think despite Selmons big announcements , he’s not doing much either. Lot of “future gift pledges” that may or may not ever come through. Schools really getting big money donations aren’t making these announcements by the way.

Why do we need LED lighting when all games are going to be at 11:00?

Start the terminations from the top down. That’s the only way you can solve the problems. Who has the authority to fire all three?

I want to fire previous administrations because the success of Mullen and the National Championship has made all of ya’ll pu55ies. Grow a pair you bunch of cuntshits. Do you think those of us that went 8 years between bowl games and 28 years between NCAA tournaments were this weak willed?

I've asked the same question before with no answer but I'm assuming it's the IHL board.
We laughed when forward rebels got Boone kicked out but who's laughing now?

Keenum is basically overseeing the downfall of this university but he must be pleasing the right people. Who are they ?

Is anybody on here brave enough to explain one, any, or all of these things to me like I’m five:

1. How are Keenum and Salter at the top of the blame list?
2. What has Selmon done that deserves any kind of credit?
3. What did Cohen do/not do that y'all say jacked up our NIL so badly?
4. Who on EARTH that understands a THING about baseball can find a good reason to legit support keeping Lemonis?

Don’t take this as me arguing against any of these except about keeping Lemonis….I work ALL the time and just don’t engage of any of the behind the scenes garbage. I barely even have time to watch anything anymore.

I don’t know enough to have a real opinion I quit giving money .and a care during to Cohen. . Won’t start back, but really didn’t Keenum. 17 the football team with Arnept? I’m not sold on lebby but I think out side his hanging to to Hustler he made adjustments for year 2. Leach and co blew recruiting and evaluation…the cubard was empty. So why the hate on the AD…unless he keeps Lemon after this train wreck

keenum hired Salmon. Is Salter fully recovered from his medical problems?
2. What has Selmon done that deserves any kind of credit?
Did you see his billboard in Las Vegas?
3. What did Cohen do/not do that y'all say jacked up our NIL so badly?
Slashed, pillaged, and burned State his first year at auburn. His job is the to beat you at everything now.
4. Who on EARTH that understands a THING about baseball can find a good reason to legit support keeping Lemonis?
Indiana doesn’t want him back now so we’d be on the hook for him to lay up and not work for the next 4 years.

I'll take a stab at it.
1) Keenum hired Strickland who was at best mediocre. When Strickland left instead of doing a national search and bringing in a talented AD, he hired in house, a baseball coach who had no training or experience in being an AD except for "sitting in" on a few meetings.

After Cohen finally wears out his welcome, instead of manning up, firing him and doing a national search for an AD, he drags his feet, allows Cohen to do a very public search for another AD position, and he ends up at Auburn, a direct SEC competitor.

Keenum continues to drag his feet for the AD position, and ends up with Selmon, who well placed rumors contend never was sold on having the MSU AD position.

Add to that, Keenum seems to be very good at promoting himself.

I don't get the athletic department blame on Salter either. Collateral damage I suppose. Only complaint I have is he is a political squish with an easy job that seems to do absolutely nothing.

2) I don't understand the question. He gets no credit because he hasn't done one thing, good or bad. He may as well not exist. He is clearly either in over his head, or doesn't want to be here.

3) When NIL was getting going he sat on his hands and did nothing. A halfway decent AD would have been all over it. It took Charlie Winfield to get anything significant in NIL going. Please refer back to 1) above.

Cohen also overspent on the Dudy Noble remake. Keenum let him do it.

4) There is no sane argument in support of keeping Lemonis.

Edit to 2) Selmon did hire Lebby. I have to reserve judgement because of the Leach death/ Arnett debacle. Things are not looking good, however.

Thank you for that…..and you made my point with my #2 question. He seems to be a ghost for the most part.

It just irritates me so much that MSU, much like the state of Mississippi, can’t get out of its own way and insists on continually shooting ourselves in the foot.

That says it all. He's an empty suit. He is a good speaker.
