That boy they got from APP State took awhile, but he's finally got some leverage. Not the "win" now that most of our fans foresaw in the preseason when formulating their predictions as to record. The SEC needed a team from out of the pack to step up. One has. Beating Florida would make beating Mizzou more feasible. Lose to Florida, and ...oh, well.South Carolina 2-3
Missouri 5-0
What makes you think you'll beat Missouri?
All depends on the OL.With our defense our only hope against Mizzoui is to out score them
Let's get a hold of ourselves here. This school has had Richard Bell and Brad Scott. As for Beamer, he'll get the time you prescribe. Now whether or not that will matter will be up for grabs.Drinkwitz is in his 4th season there. Mack Brown is in his 5th season at UNC and has them in the Top 15. It took Mark Stoops 6 seasons to produce a Top 25 team at Kentucky. Shane Beamer, in his 3rd season here, replaced Will Muschamp. arguably the worst Head Football Coach we have ever had, one of the few, maybe only Head Football Coach, to ever be fired before the end of the season at 2 different schools. He made South Carolina into such a mess of a program that Tanner would not let his own hire even finish the season. I'd give Beamer more than 2 seasons plus 5 games before giving up on him, especially since he overachieved in each of his first 2 seasons here.
It would be a coin toss between those 3. I base my ranking of Muschamp as "arguably" our worst HC ever on the facts that the further Muschamp got from the Meyer and Spurrier years, the worse his programs got. Muschamp had the good fortune to begin his reigns of terror following 2 of college footballs greatest Head Coaches ever.Let's get a hold of ourselves here. If Bell could have stayed, he would have been the worse, handsdown. It would be a coin toss between those 3. How things will go for Beamer, we will see. But for me, I'm satisfied with his first 2 seasons here as he exceeded expectations. Thus far this year, he is on track with my expectations. I say all that as one who was vehemently opposed to his hire and has criticized him some since he has been here.
We will never really KNOW for sure, obviously.. What we do KNOW and, I believe we can agree on, is that Will Muschamp was an unmitigated disaster for us and left the program in such shambles that he had to be fired in midseason by the guy who hired him. We made Muschamp a much richer loser of a Head Coach and his attorney a very nice payday as well.If Bell could have stayed, he would have been the worse, handsdown.
Your expectations need upward revision, IMO, but that's up to you.It would be a coin toss between those 3. I hope your expectations are met. If so, I am certain I will join you in being giddy with happiness.Your expectations need upward revision, IMO, but that's up to you.
