We are getting a Honda Odyssey. For whatever reason, they are in crazy high demand. I thought minivans were decreasing in popularity.
I have one of those. It's awesome and really retains its value better than most other cars. It has surprisingly great gas mileage on the freeway - with the car loaded up we still get north of 30 mpg on family roadtrips.
You should try house shopping.... First time home buyers are absolutely screwed. FJB
The gf made me get my first new car of my life. She ordered a 2022 Honda Insight three months ago and I paid MSRP for it. I couldn't order the color because of supply chain/demand/etc., so I got a black on black car. A 2021 Insight for sale around the corner is $2000 more than I paid for my car. The same car.
I've only driven it about 1000 miles in a month, but I get 58 mpg and it is perfect for me. No frills or anything, and I don't like the radio, but it will serve me well for my traveling.

I had a 2019 Honda Crv with 8000 miles. It was that beautiful garnet color. Lots of bells and whistles. I paid 27,500 for it. We were sitting at a left turn red arrow when some idiot ran the light and drove a 3rd car headlong into us. Totaled the car. I was really banged up by the air bag. Wife was OK. Liability not an issue. I got medicals with $6k for extras. Wreck appraised at $33k, because of low mileage. Dealer was able to find me the 2022 of the same in black on a truck headed its way. The sticker was $33k. Dealer had bunch of add-ons to run price up to.$37.5k. I got them down to $36.5k. Overall I was OK with it. It had 4 miles on it when it came off the truck. I miss my garnet car, but they don't make that color anymore. My son in law and I are washing the black one and sticking Gamecock decals on it on Saturday.
