I've re-watched it so many times on YouTube.

Funny thing is, I watched the game with a friend of mine from church who is a massive UT fan, but he takes things way seriously. Like, gets genuinely mad when they lose. It made for a pretty awkward evening.

Got home and my wife met at the door. She was surprised I didn't look happier. She said "I thought you'd be giddy." I told her I was still processing it. I think I still am. My brain still can't compute what I saw that night.

Favorite part of the game what late in the 4th when their DB was trash talking on our sideline...Beamer stepped in and yelled something at him. We could have just run out the clock, but we hit a 40 yard pass to Juice to set up our final TD. I told my wife Beamer better have those boys ready in Knox next year b/c they're going to remember that one!!

I kept waiting for one of the TN coaches to tell that trash talking DB to use some body parts other than his mouth and go out there and try to stop Rattler and Co..

The thing about that night and the next Saturday was defense. Yes the offense was incredible and even at Clemson was clicking in an overmatched situation.

But the D smacked two teams in the mouth who were not used to being hit.

Agree. Looking at the numbers alone the UT game doesn't look great. But when you compare what we held them to vs their averages it was a great performance.

I jacked up my back and knee climbing over the hedges behind the UT bench, going onto the field. It was worth it. šŸ˜
And normally I don't fix any brown liquor after a game when I get to the car. I made an exception after that one.

Did the same thing the next morning.
"Wait, what?"
