8 games last year he threw for less than 200 yards, including a 57-yard performance against the Patriots. In today's NFL, that is not a good stat for a high-priced QB.
Yes. In that Patriots game he was 5-12 for 57 yards. Yikes. Thank goodness for their OL and Taylor.

Yeah, 18th in yardage, but 10th in TD's thrown. With a guy like Jonathan Taylor, he didn't need to throw as much, and when it counted for , he threw for TD's. Not saying he was the best, just wondering what they think they will get that is better. 2nd rd pick Desmond Ridder or Carson Strong- Free agent Marcus Mariota or Jameis Winston ?? Not sure.
Mariota to Pittsburgh, please.

He's probably Washington's best option but he's not worth the commitment monetarily. I know Washington has been searching for a top QB for a long, long time. In Indy, he had a great OL and Taylor and still managed to miss the playoffs. He does not listen to coaching. Doug Pederson and Frank Reich are probably two of the most quarterback friendly head coaches in the NFL and they couldn't deal with him. Being from the Washington area, I've seen that Rivera is not as patient, so it will be interesting to see how this all plays out.

I'm not surprised because of all the chatter, but his numbers were actually pretty good, and had the Colts have won 1 of their last 2 games, I think he stays in Indy. Might there have been something else than performance, maybe his refusal to be a team player and get the vaccine ? I mean, yes, he crapped the bed the last game, and the attempted left handed throw out of the endzone for a TD was really bad, but other than that, not much worse than most of the other QB's in the league. And, who do the Colts get now, not too many good options out there.
That's it. Just keep putting money into the slot machine and pulling then lever. :)

Think about how bad Wentz must have been behind the scenes for Indy to move on the way they did. They went all in last year to bring him in and pair him with his MVP-caliber coordinator. This wasn't simply about his play on the field. There was no doubt stuff behind the scenes that soured them.

But
I didn’t say my team was any good. We got tons of problems. I’m just saying Wentz in the division is better than say Russell Wilson😂

Agree with behind the scenes stuff, but I guess it is more between Frank and the GM with the owner siding w the GM this time

Honestly, I think the Colts made a big mistake trading Wentz, In my opinion he actually had a decent year. Also, who is going to step in as QB, Sam Ehlinger? If anyone should have been fired it was the HC and the OC. Terrible terrible play calling down the stretch. So bad, the team gave up on them and ultimately lost to a last place Jacksonville team. Another problem is the dysfunctional Jim Irsay, supposedly refusing to meet with Carson Wentz.

I think he had a QBR of 4.3 when they needed him most week 17 (v Jax)

OTOH his year QBR rating was 54.7 good enough for 9th in the NFL, tied with Russell Wilson, ahead of QB's such as Dak, Joe Burrow and Big Ben. Aaron Rodgers lead with a QBR of 69.1
QBR is a proprietary rating of ESPN, and does have subjective elements to it.

Subjective like losing a playoff spot to Jax week 17?

I am sure Ron Rivera is the right guy to coax all of the talent out of Wentz. He probably couldn't have gone to a worse place. He will be MIA by week 8
