Their special teams, all of it, is middle school level.Pretty good game. That’s not the Alabama of years past, but that o and d line of Michigan is probably NFL level.
Agree i prefer the unrivaled mentality.I don’t understand the bizarre thoughts of some conference loving posters.
He seems pretty douchey to me.Well it’s pretty hard to hate JJ
It’s been way longer than that. How is Saban cheating?
Allar would have had to be 9 feet tall to catch that passNice one-handed catch by McCarthy on the tailback pass back. Too bad Allar couldn't do that on Pribula's pass. Might have made a difference.
I love both sports. Doesn’t make me want to root for a football player differently.Second only to lax bro
No question. None. After watching Yesterday’s Georgia-Florida game I feel compelled to say that Georgia was robbed and screwed by the playoff select committee. If the criteria is to pick “The Best Teams” Georgia was definitely a top 4 team.
It’s been well established….
It’s easy . You're like a golden retriever. Work on that hate game in the off season . Show me your war face Pyle !Well it’s pretty hard to hate JJ
Well, to be fair, it was rumored that some of the PSU players were driving new cars when I was there in the 90’s, but there was no social media then so I guess we’re good?
But that doesn’t mean that others haven’t been doing it too. There’s a reason why Ole Miss went from perennial doormat to top ranked recruiting classes under Hugh Freeze and it wasn’t completely all the hookers and blow. Or the bags of cash Tennessee was supposedly handing out. The SEC, and college football in general, have been dirty for decades. I don’t find Saban any slimier than others, but I may be wrong.I was at PSU in the 90’s too and knew a few players. Most never wore anything but the swag they got from the team. I also worked in the compliance office as a student and reviewed their applications for money for winter clothes and other things. Maybe a player here or there had something - Bama’s car handouts were legendary. It’s why Saban is pissed that now any school can do it.

Bob you always were an optimist….It’s been a few years since saban last won a NATTY. . You have to think the bama trustees are having an emergency meeting tonight to work on saban’s buyout and decide who to hire as his replacement. Franklin will be sitting close to the phone tonight.
Was talking to my PSU buddy who played circa 1980. He said he got a job bartending to get some extra money . He was told you’re on scholarship and you can’t have a job . You have to quit .I’ve known a few PSU players as well and none of them had new cars.
That’s why I said “rumored”. Thanks for the input. I appreciate it.I was at PSU in the 90’s too and knew a few players. Most never wore anything but the swag they got from the team. That was, unfortunately, the rule. Doesn’t make sense to me.Was talking to my PSU buddy who played circa 1980. He said he got a job bartending to get some extra money . He was told you’re on scholarship and you can’t have a job . You have to quit .
I guess in theory to stop the guys “working “ at the car dealership , and gifted a car. But in effect , it hurt the good kids/programs.That was, unfortunately, the rule. Doesn’t make sense to me.
I was thinking more like they owned you because of the scholarship and they required you put x amount of hours into whatever you were getting the scholarship for? Who knows. Someone in an office who never played or needed money probably came up with it.I guess in theory to stop the guys “working “ at the car dealership , and gifted a car. No, it was so certain business owners who were friends of the school couldn’t offer jobs paying $50,000 as a recruiting advantage. Brian Bosworth had a job turning on sprinklers every day and they were automatic sprinklers.I was thinking more like they owned you because of the scholarship and they required you put x amount of hours into whatever you were getting the scholarship for? And he probably had to be taught how to do it multiple times. No, it was so certain business owners who were friends of the school couldn’t offer jobs paying $50,000 as a recruiting advantage. Brian Bosworth had a job turning on sprinklers every day and they were automatic sprinklers.
@MidnighterIf Harbaugh can say he didn’t know anything that Stallions was doing as a staff member working in the same building as him, then is it possible that Nick didn’t know boosters were giving $$$ handshakes to players?

Who needs handshakes when the shake is the SHAKE?!?If Harbaugh can say he didn’t know anything that Stallions was doing as a staff member working in the same building as him, then is it possible that Nick didn’t know boosters were giving $$$ handshakes to players?
