Well, Pickett opted out like a month ago, so, in effect, Patti had been the starter all along. Oh, and by the way, the first play from scrimmage with the backup quarterback for Pitt was a false start penalty. Pitt does a lot with less, BUT they have 12 6th year players and 11 5th year seniors. That’s an incredible amount of experience. Let’s see if they can sustain a lot of victories in the next 2 years before full credit is given.
Pitt does seem to understand that college football success is massively a function of the O and D lines. Penn St perpetually under-recruits both.
