What was the reason for the students flooding the court? It seemed kind of weird because, hell, I thought we matched up pretty well with them before the game. We were favored. It was a big win for the NCAAT and our seeding, but not like a court-storming kind of win. And since they waited for the team to exit, it wasn't just raw emotion right as the game ended. Was this planned or something?

To be fair, we haven’t had many (if any) court storming worthy wins during most of their academic careers. They’re glad to have something to be excited about!

I honestly can’t remember the last time we stormed the court. It has to have been many years. Can anyone refresh my memory?

ETA: I remember we had a very polite, orderly court storming when we beat Auburn to clinch at least a share of the SEC championship in 2004. The students were on the court when we cut the nets down. Have we had one since then before last night?

Let them have fun. Every school has it happen and some encourage it. Our tight asses a scared to let college kids do college kids stuff. Let them enjoy it! That builds support.
I tend to agree. I wasn't mad about it, just wondering if I was missing something. I'm all about those crazy kids having fun, especially if the players loved it - which they seemed to.
