Christian Walker beaned in the head today by Alexis Dias 96 MPH fastball and gets up and walks straight to the dugout. Only a minor facial contusion and should be ok but looked scary.

I do not understand why MLB players do not have ear flaps on both sides of the helmet like MiLB, collegiate and below players do. And why base coaches in pro and college wear no ear flaps at all. In addition I personally would want a face guard like softball players wear.
