Who you pulling for? I'll pull for them both but maybe a tad more for C.W.

It's taken Christian a good many years to get to where he is. He's making $6.5M on a one year contract. It shows his market value is $12M+. Hopefully he can secure a long term contract at the end of the season.

Gumby- making $10M on a one year contact. Mkt value is $18M. He should receive a very nice contract next year.

Both should get a significant bump in pay next year.

Yanks made a dumb move trading Gumby and now his is a wanted man by many teams.
Walker may be the best glove at 1B in MLB, as documented by several Gold Gloves, and with the 33 HR's and 103 RBI's this year he is now in the money.
Gumby's had a good playoff and Walker not so much, so I'm pulling for Walker to break out in the WS.

I read an article today that Gumby will likely get between $110-130m for 5 years.

My guess is he'll be the highest paid gamecock athlete ever and likely have the highest career earnings.

The Yankees and the Mets are likely two teams to come after him.

Corey Segar has a 10 year - $325 million contract. And he was going to be a Gamecock until the Dodgers signed him in the draft....

I would be surprised if he entertained an offer from the Yankees. Been there done that....

From my understanding, no ill will. It has worked out great for Jordan. Maybe his only chance to chase the money. If they outbid everyone, it wouldn't surprise me if he heads back.
