I wear my Braves gear at Phillies games all the time and don't get bothered. However, I wouldn't do that at the Linc.Mob mentality. This kind of behavior isn't exclusive to Philly and it's the reason why I don't attend away games. Also, knowing the reputation of Philly Fans, it's not smart to wear the opponent's colors and then walk through a crowd of Eagles fans by yourself or only with 1 other person.
I've found Phillies fans to be pretty nice in my numerous trips to Pirates away games in Philadelphia. Granted, baseball tends to draw a different grade of fans than does the NFL.I wear my Braves gear at Phillies games all the time and don't get bothered. However, I wouldn't do that at the Linc.
The workers bust my chops more than the fans, which is hilarious.I've found Phillies fans to be pretty nice in my numerous trips to Pirates away games in Philadelphia. Granted, baseball tends to draw a different grade of fans than does the NFL.
The “workers”? Really? The workers bust my chops more than the fans, which is hilarious
Yes...Penn State fans would never steal someone's (vintage Nebraska cowboy) hat

I witnessed some huge brawls at Phillies games at the Vet back 40 or so years ago.Same city, completely different atmosphere. The Phillies are much more family oriented.
apparently, you've never been to a NASCAR raceThere are A LOT of NFL fans attending any particular game that are trashy individuals ... and when you get them in groups, with booze ... it's not a great recipe.
Plenty of fine folks that go, too ... but the percentage of trashy folks is the worst in the NFL, as opposed to other major (pro or college) sports.
Is that still a thing? Don’t they just have self-driving car races at this point?apparently, you've never been to a NASCAR race
He's just deflecting. Is that still a thing? Don’t they just have self-driving car races at this point?
Only in Philly? NoI’ve been an Eagles season ticket holder for 25 years. I can’t stand morons who treat any fan, opposing or not, this way. I would never defend people who harass others for any reason and in saying that, do you honestly believe this only happens in Philadelphia?
No but I don’t recall any other team putting a judge in the stadium to hear criminal charges. Do you?I’ve been an Eagles season ticket holder for 25 years. I’m not sure why grown men feel the need to dress head to toe in team colors ever let alone at an away game.

The Vet was a different animal. I was at several games this past summer at CBP with Cleveland and NYM fans around openingly cheering for their teams with no issues from the home crowd. Now, Eagles and Flyers games, that’s a different story. As a kid, I witnessed a fist fight at a Sixers-Celtics game over a guy holding up a Robert Parrish sign.I witnessed some huge brawls at Phillies games at the Vet back 40 or so years ago.
lol. You would have loved the Eagles fan that the morning news was interviewing on Sunday morning in his “uniform”. Shoulder pads, game jersey, face painted half green/half silver, and Eagles do rag screaming the Eagles chant. I’m guessing the guy is single despite looking like he was in his 50’s or 60’s. At least he was spelling Eagles correctly. The stupidest thing is grown men painting their faces.
I love the annual "Philadelphia fans suck" thread. Since you didn't provide any stats to back up your "more widespread" claim, check out the linked article which relies on real data and a survey. Accurate?? Who knows?? The opinions of the respondents are just as valid as anyone's here though. The Linc didn't even make the top five most dangerous (based on stats). The top honor goes to Minnesota. Why aren't there any threads bashing their fans?? Midwest nice, I guess. Violent crimes only?? You'll find the champ in Denver. OTOH, the Linc is tops for people witnessing a crime, regardless of how minor. Maybe fans who attend games there are conditioned to think the slightest bad behavior should be considered a crime. As far as surveyed fans who reported being the victim of a crime (regardless of how minor), the order is Dallas, NYG & NYJ (tie), Philadelphia, Washington, and Seattle. It looks like the whole NFC East is crazy. Lastly, the worse for women, children, and tourists are Detroit, Indianapolis, and Los Angeles.Only in Philly? No
More widespread in Philly? Absolutely
They just had a guy at a Flyers Game walk down and cold cock 2 Toronto fans a few weeks ago - what a complete DB. I stick with PSU Football - seen some issues but nothing like pro games and at least in college it's mostly drunk kids not stupid adults at pro games. The Vet was a different animal. Only 31 citations issued by the police after Sunday’s game. A couple shootings, a stabbing, one errant vehicle in the crowd injuring 8. However, in all fairness to fans attending games in Dallas, those who reported being the victim of a crime were likely referring to the theft committed by Jerry Jones for the outrageous prices he charges to watch a $hitty team.

First off, that "study" in the article is horrific in it's methodology. But if we were to use it's results, is this really the study to prove that I'm wrong in saying that bad behavior is more widespread at Eagles games than elsewhere when the article states the following...I love the annual "Philadelphia fans suck" thread. If they lose the domestic violence rate goes up.Only 31 citations issued by the police after Sunday’s game. A couple shootings, a stabbing, one errant vehicle in the crowd injuring 8. Nothing major.
Just a warmup for Feb. 9 if the birds win.
You can't say the methodology is horrific then quote a line from the article as if it's legitimate. Which way do you want it to be??First off, that "study" in the article is horrific in it's methodology. As for witnessing an act of violence or worse still, being the victim of one, Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia has the worst reputation of all with 63.2% of respondents having witnessed a crime.
I'm saying that the methodology/article are horrible...I just find it ironic that you're using THAT article as your counter to the argument that bad behavior is more widespread at Eagles games than elsewhere when the article called out that line. You can't say the methodology is horrific then quote a line from the article as if it's legitimate. NASCAR is basically irrelevant now.Is that still a thing? Don’t they just have self-driving car races at this point?
I guess we can all pick and choose the information we want to be true/important. Check out this article. Chiefs fans are awesome. Midwest nice. I know, it didn't happen at a game so it doesn't count. But if it happened in Philadelphia some would want the Eagles tossed from the NFL.I'm saying that the methodology/article are horrible...I just find it ironic that you're using THAT article as your counter to the argument that bad behavior is more widespread at Eagles games than elsewhere when the article called out that line.
That's a shame too. I really used to love NASCAR but it's become a shell of what it once was.NASCAR is basically irrelevant now.
Worse happened in KC last year. Check out my post above. But who cares what happens in Kansas City??
