than the safety of their players and fans. As if they don’t get enough exposure. What about all of the law enforcement who will be tied up for that game instead of being available for more important things if needed. Typical.

I know they are our rival and all but let’s get real. It will be a tropical storm before it even hits SC. Moving our game made logistical sense. We play kentucky next week and no one will go watch SC state in a storm. Those logistics are ten times easier than moving the game of the weekend.
Clemson will still be a full house. It’s just s little rain and storms. Nothing compared to the Notre dame game they played. Calm down Karen.

Every college football team sends players out knowing many will incur injuries they'll live with for the rest of their lives.

I can't imagine it will rain any harder in Clemson on Saturday than it did in Columbia that god-awful night in the 90s when an ECU running back torched us for about 800 yards or that night in Raleigh when the Lou Holtz era opened with a loss to NC State. Most of us survived those nights just as I suspect most Clemson and NC State fans will survive their game this week.

it is typical of Clempson. A lot of comments here about the actual weather at the game. Thats not really the point. A hurricane is hitting the state today and still TDB how bad it is/will be. There are pretty massive security/emergency supports that are deployed for a major college football game from state highway patrol to local police to emergency personnel that have to be local and available in case needed with so many people in attendance.

Its careless on the CU AD's part but again typical as they have done it before. Anyway, go Wolfpack!

And next week someone will be on here complaining that we don't care as much about football is why we don't win. 2nd, I hate it for the people that lose their homes but they are given plenty of warning to get out but choose to stay and ride it out then risk someones life to come save them. Get the hell out or you are on your own!

Per the latest weather report rain will end early Saturday morning. Shouldn't be any issues by noon on Saturday...

Maybe it's just me, but it seems like they predict a path about 5-7 days out and it almost always shifts east, sometimes far to the east, of that path. Like a bad slice in golf.

The weather for their game will be much better than it was for ours. Also, did we take away law enforcement and emergency personnel from being available to help with preparations for a storm that was definitely going to hit the state within 12 hours of our game? Should Tanner issue an apology for his and Carolina's obvious disregard for the safety of the players and fans or was he so obsessed with exposure for our program and making sure our game was played and televised?

It is no wonder people look at our fan base and its obsession with Clemson and laugh and shake their heads. Some of our fans approach mental illness in their obsession over finding fault with anything and everything Clemson does. It really makes us look like we have some sort of inferiority complex.

1996. Scott Harley. Cocks lost 23-7. Team was ranked coming off the national TV upset of UGa the week prior. Really shat the bed. Wore all garnet from head to toe.

You are correct, it was a perfect night for football last night. Not sure what OP was worried about, but thanks for looking out.

This is ridiculous. Yes, it's "massive" in terms of raw numbers compared to law enforcement that would be in the area on a normal (non-game) day, but it's not like the number of Highway Patrolman/law enforcement at a game comes anywhere close to offsetting or even making a dent in the necessary available personnel available or needed in other parts of the state. This is just a drummed up excuse to criticize. The question of whether or not to cancel or postpone a game is much more affected by the logistics and implications of the travel of the fans that will or might attend - how, many of them there are . . . where they'll be coming from . . . whether that will disrupt any possible evacuation attempts or coincide with them, the effect on traffic, etc. The offsetting of available personnel is a complete non-issue. There is more than enough for that. It's not like Berkley and Charleston counties were ever counting on the full strength of Clemson and Pickens forces to be available for them survive Ian.

Thanks for proving the point that even in an emergency in the state.....for Clemson, Clemson is all that matters. Have a good day.

This stuff is what makes a rivalry great...

If the Highway Patrol was needed elsewhere, they would go there. No one at SCHP is going to prioritize a football game over necessary services elsewhere in the State.
