Your obsession never ceases to amaze me. John and his staff deserve a lot of credit and should be applauded. Now they get to play the #2 seed in the tourney so we will see how well we do. While we have reached the sweet 16, it is not like the basketball sweet sixteen since we have yet to play a top 10 team in the tourney.I pray we make it this year in basketball this year so we might have the pleasure of shutting your mouth up about basketball for a while. Of course, we all know if we do and then don't go to the final four you will still be bitching. Give it a rest and enjoy the baseball success.

What little doubt that I had that you are an ******* has been removed.

Just enjoy the 17'n win, dickhead.

we have yet to make the Final Four in baseball
We havent won the SEC West in baseball since the 1980's
We havent won the SEC in baseball since 1989

But our 2 baseball coaches since the 1970's have realized it's about getting your team ready for postseason play- not winning half of a conference

I suggest you post alot less until you learn what the hell you are talking about

how many top 10 teams does a 4 or 5 seed play to make the Sweet 16? When the 4-5 seeds play to go to the Sweet 16, you are looking at a top 20 match-up at best. Ga Tech was their conference champ were they not?

Excuses is all the Stansbury crowd knows how tomake

Was there a SEC West in the 1980's?

How many times have we gone to the final 8 in Baseball (College World Series), vs final 8 in Basketball, since...say 1970?
No 17'n contest!

Baseball has been divided in East & West divisions for most of the SEC's existence. Since at least the late 1940s, the only years SEC baseball didn't have divisions were 1986? - 1991.

is that his idea of supporting the Bulldogs is watching them on TV. When he starts attending EVERY home football and basketball game like I do (kind of hard to do every baseball game unless you live in Starkville but I make a lot of them), then he will have some credibility with me. He's kind of like Barack Obama - never had a private sector job his entire life, but he's a 17ing genius about how to turn around the economy.

I am not able to make EVERY home football and basketball game either, and I'm willing to be 99% of the posters here and the fan base in general don't make them all. Coach lives about 7-8 hours away. Does that preclude him from being a real fan? I buy season tickets to football and basketball. In my book, that makes me a fan. I have no idea if Coach buys tickets. If he doesn't, he should. He also works in the private sector now.

...to get an invite to the DDDY even if it's just as a 16-seed who'll be pummeled by Forrest Moore or some other favorite. Relax Coach, you won't be fired for missing the tournament.

Rankin County is where I live, but I also have a house up there. Not as much disposable income as I used to, but I got my priorities in order. I just hate negative a-hole mofos who ***** and complain all the time, like Coach 34.

I realize folks can't make every game. Hell, I even missed a few during the Croom years. (Can you blame me for that?) As long as folks buy season tickets, that's what counts. Here's why I hate Coach - he's a negative SOB who never has a good word to say ever about anything that Rick Stansbury has done. Ever. Stansbury's got some issues and some things to prove this year, without a doubt, but he's done some good for us over the years and it would be nice if just once if old fart breath Coach 34 would acknowledge it.

fans support their school in different ways- buying tickets, donating money, steering recruits their way, talking their school up in the community...

I was a season ticket holder in football until we hired Crooms- once he was fired, I resumed buying season tickets. I make it to campus as often as I can, seeing 3 games last season-but being 6 hours away with a 2 yr old and another due in July- not sure how many times that will be this coming season.

And when we get rid of Stands- I'll resume buying tickets in basketball as well.

Yeah if the basetball team makes it to the sweet 16, Rick willstill be Rick and will be a whopping 1-14. Even if he advances from that point, he'll still be Rick.

he's too senile to realize we guaranteed there would be no Sweet 16 in basketball when we brought The Recruiter back for his Farewell Tour.

Is it not possible to reach the Sweet 16 in basketball and not play a top 10 team in the country? I am pretty sure that happens every year in the NCAA tourney, you can even make the Final Four that way...
I hope we make the Sweet 16 in basketball this year too. If Stans doesn't with our roster, then he should be fired...

my sarcasm meter maybe off on this monday, but last i checked

there are only 10 top ten teams and 16 sweet sixteen teams... so just at first glance 6 prob going to make it without a top 10 opponent

... I guess we could argue you only have to win 2 to make 16 is basketball, where as baseball has to win at least 3 sometimes 4

I haven't been to an MSU sporting event since 2007 and can have as much credibility as any other State fan. I guess we should all be blamed for not living in-state after leaving the university.

There are a lot more reasons for you to dislike the way C34 approaches things than the fact that he doesn't make it to as many games as you.

The only good thing about you posting this is that you make it pretty clear to everyone else that you are an idiot.

As long as folks buy season tickets, that's what counts
So I should buy season tickets even though I am absolutely certain that I won't be able to make it to a game owing to the distance that I live from Starkville and my work/family situation? What if I contribute to the BC as much as the amount of season tickets for all three major sports? Do I count as a credible fan? What if I contribute what my budget will reasonably allow and that isn't equal to season ticket purchases? Do I count as a credible fan? What if I am unemployed and can't contribute? Do I count as a credible fan?

Everyone is not in the exact same situation as you pal. You don't have much skill in the area of logic.

Again....idiot.

Also....

Bury gets paid an assload of money. An assload. As in loaded ***. Time and time again he has proven to be a horrendously ****** floor coach. Time and time again he has shown himself to be without the ability to consistently maintain any sort of team chemistry or unity. Multiple times he has overseen completely embarrassing situations - embarrassing to himself, the staff, the team, Mississippi State and the fans. Winning the west is not noteworthy. Never has been. And he exposed his lame *** by shitting himself over the well needed vote to end the division charade. "They are taking away our opportunity to compete for championships!" <<< THIS mentality is what 1.1 large gets us? Seriously? We want a guy who sees a west banner as success?

The MFer needs to contend for the conference title, get a decent seed and then make a sweet sixteen run this year. Or his *** and his west banners and his hebrew tribe need to GTFO.

AWESOME!!!! Glad I wasn't drinking milk when I read this. But who's adolescent kids will lead us out of the tunnel???

And Iagree...there are a 1,000 reasons to not like Coach34, but this ain't one of them. He's a little too close to the truth for many people. Had anyone else but Coach posted that, there would be plenty of Amen's andAttaBoys...

I stated we haven't played a top ten team in baseball to get to the sweet sixteen. I could argue Ga. Tech may have been a top ten team but if they were, they were way over rated. If MSU is to ever get to a sweet sixteen in basketball they for sure will have to go through a top ten team. It is a lot different than this baseball scenario. My point was this, Coach can't crap with his two year old or anybody else whithout obsessing about Stansbury. He says he'll buy basketball tickets when he is gone. Guess what, he won't be able to because he is not high enough on a priority list to get them. It is easy to sit on your *** all day at a computer and actlike an expert but he ain't one and never has been.
