I understand that many of the changes have made the game more enjoyable for the viewer. But I have been watching since the play guys actually called the action of the game. Keith Jackson and Ron Franklin—are the guys that I grew up watching. It seems like the announcers are cheerleaders for one team or the other. I miss the days of impartiality from the guys in the booth. They let the game itself be the excitement. I sound like an old man who yells at clouds, but this has changed every game I watch.

Keith Jackson, seriously? Must have been a different Keith Jackson than the one I remember. Jackson was such an Alabama homer he would talk about them no matter the game he was calling. It got to be running joke. "WHOA NELLIE!! That play reminds me of ALAHBAMAH!!" I got to where I just wouldn't watch if he was the announcer. Glad he is gone.

The present ones try to fake excitement and can't pull it off.

Well, they televise so many games now that half the time we are getting the home teams play by play guy on the broadcast.
