Hosting the first round of the NCAA Tournament against Providence as the #6 seed. The Friars are 47th in the RPI, so we should be favored.

If they win, they are likely headed to Palo Alto to face Brown (8th in RPI). South Carolina (36th) and Stanford (6th) on the other side.

And what is a travesty, South Alabama, who went 16-1-3 (they tied us early in the season) was completely left out of the tournament with an RPI of 27. They were expecting to host their first ever NCAA Tournament game and they got left out. Get this - the Sun Belt still got two teams in the tournament, just not the undefeated until conference semifinal team.

Looks like good chance to win 2 games, but Stanford is one of the blue bloods. Gonna be hard to win out there. They should not be a #2 seed.

Yep. Stanford is #3 in the Coaches Poll. They are a very strong 2. UCLA is the #1 seed in our bracket, and they are ranked #2. Tough bracket overall, but good chance to win two as you said.

Format is Higher seed hosts first round.
Second and third round are at highest remaining seed in pod (likely #2 Stanford)
Fourth round is at highest seed
National semifinal and final (College Cup) in Cary, North Carolina

Yeah, that sucks for USA. I looked at that game as a 'bad tie' until I saw they were undefeated a couple of weeks ago.

Old Dominion was the tourney champ, so they get in automatically, but JMU was 9-4-8 and USA was 16-1-3. I get the NCAA's love of "good losses", but to just ignore 16 wins when the conference half of the schedule was the basically same is just ludicrous.

Any word on if Macey Hodge will be available for the NCAA tournament. Heard she got hurt in the 2nd Arkansas game. If she's out, the road will be tougher. She's the glue that holds the midfield together.
