Hi guys! I was wondering if anyone here had any suggestions on things to do near Corolla, NC (outer banks) or any restaurant suggestions. We are going for a week on Sunday and I have never been before. It looks like there’s a ton of stuff for the kids (ages 8,9 and 10) to do right in the area we are staying that is included with our house rental (tennis, surf lessons, activities at the pool, etc) but I was wondering about things that might not be listed on a website or travel brochure. Thanks!

Corolla Adventure Park is a good place for adults and kids. Climbing, ziplining, etc. It runs around $60 per person for a full pass. It's wise to make a reservation.

Find a time machine and go back 40-50 years to see what was the attraction of the Outer Banks. 🙁

Im not suprised to hear that. I would have preferred Bald Head Island where I went a few times when I was younger but for all I know maybe that’s all built up now too (and probably out of my price range at the moment). This is a family reunion type thing and this was the best place for everyone to get to and rent houses near eachother. Thank you all for the advice and the Toyota jokes 😂

Well if you want a seafood family reunion dinner there is a great seafood store on the way in. Right after the big Walmart and before you turn north at the intersection look on the rhs for the seafood store. The stuff is fresh as it can be, it would be a lot of fun cooking it up for the family.
