Could you get an MSU car tag and don’t?

Why not?
Because I have no damns to give about what my tag looks like. 99% of the time I don't know what they even look like even though I see multiple ones ahead of me daily, it's just a non issue with me. Even when people were outraged about what they saw as an ugly tag it mattered not to me

I don’t have one. I don’t know if I can get one. I don’t know how to find out. I would never get one. I don’t want to spend the money. I would get one with De’Monte Russell’s face one it. Joking. No I wouldn’t. Or would I?

Didn't have them when I lived in TX.

When we uprooted for GA, my 2nd thought was "hot damn, I get a State plate". I have one. Sucks because they won't let me personalize it, and I'm thinking the state of Georgia is having fun at our expense. The tags start with EAD behind the banner M
I have one in SC, Alums in this state, along with a little outside $$ help, were able to finally get them a few years back. They do cost $70 more, and no you cannot personalize them, but I proudly have one on each of my cars, and really proud of the banner M logo!! I ain't buying a bunch of script State stuff just because it's the flavor of the month now.

I had one from early 2000s to 2022....had one until someone keyed my vehicle here in Oxford....17'in bastards...
Wife’s car has mstate tag, mine has kids high school. This is the reason I refuse to take her car to Oxford. I’ve seen too many cases of aholes on both sides of the rivalry doing crap like that.

Then I’ve got a junker 90s truck with an antique tag. Can’t believe late 90s is 25+ years ago

I could

I dont

Because I live in another state that offers them and I doubt that 100% of the extra cash would go to msu, and even if it did I would prefer to give directly rather than through a dmv just to have a graphic on my tag.

Some years ago I paid a significant amount of money to help get Georgia over the threshold to start having MSU tags, and then we got two.

We moved to TN this year and got two MSU tags there.

One good thing about getting the specialty Mississippi plates is that you can transfer them to other vehicles.

I had to show proof that my previous car was totaled when I transferred the tag to my CR-V last year.
Yeah my wife’s Farm Families tag is a very low two digit number. We’ve kept it a couple of times when changing vehicles.

Well, it's better than the employees that all have Ole Miss tags.

We were literally in the news for taking recruits to The Pony. That ship has sailed.
Don't member Dog Brewer taking 'Croots to Platinum Plus? (Or whatever club was famous back then in Memphis ) It was listed among all the other violations they were popped for in the NCAA's report. Tsun got the jump on us by about 2 decades using The World's Oldest Profession. Now tsun flies them in across state lines and when caught they blame it on the HC's "Fall From Grace". If all those calls had been for Freezus' only he woulda died of a Viagra Overdose.

well in fairness, I had MSU tag when we moved to Oxford in 2014....it was in 2022 when it happened, and it happened on campus on sorority row when my wife took my truck instead of hers to the sorority that she is chapter advisor for....bad decision ....

I drive a company owned vehicle so can't get one. Before this job I had one though, and would get one again if I could.

Wife got the one with the dolphin on it because she thought it was cute.

Where does the money go? I'd do it if it went to the Bulldog Initiative.

Also, my preferred logos:
  • script State
  • M over S
  • Flying M
  • early 90s interlocking MSU
  • walking Bully

I assume you are not retired. Say that when you retire and are living off social security and savings. No paycheck changes your perspective on life's spending. Don't get me started on money grabbing, I mean "inflation". Even simple things like your grocery bill can go from $200 a week to $300 in the blink of an eye.

The tag on my vehicle is for my own joy, not to rub anything in anyone's face. I like to see the reminder of my school when I go to my car.
No, I would not take a State-tagged vehicle to a game in Oxford.
Then again, I don't take any vehicles to games in Oxford because I don't attend games there. Ever.

If I lived in T-town, I'd just jump on the wagon rather than torture myself every single year. But here is another reason....

Whores.
Northern elitist whores.
Northern elitist whores who use roll tide all day as a greeting.

FYI I’d bet 75% of sorority girls here are imported from
GA
KY
NJ
NY
PA
The number of out of state tags here in insane. Tons of NJ, NY, and PA. Very liberal student base.

I don’t know how much of the cost actually goes to State, but whatever it is, it’s less than if I donate directly. I’ve still got the MSU plate holder that I bought 20 years ago on my car, but I’ve always said 17 the plate

Eh, I get it because I've got some family retired now, but all these guys aren't retired- They cheap!😂 I'm about to buy a NC tag myself next time. Already have the black tag on one. Kid graduating next spring will have one as well.
