Personal gain, punishing someone you don’t like, personality, disorder, etc., etc.
Recently at work, I talked to a fellow who knew one of the wrestlers through his kid. He wasn’t necessary complementary about Carter and how he was towards women, but it was more like he’s a girl chaser or what some might call a dog as opposed to any kind of sexual predator.

7 weeks since the Collegian article, and it has yet to be picked up by any entity outside PSU fanbase websites. Nothing in the CDT or PennLive, let alone bigger outlets.

Should there be self-reflection provided by the collegian? Articles exist to provoke thought, break news, provide commentary. Follow up is craved by its consumers. I hope for Carter's sake there's some level re-setting here because he IS a big name and recognizable figure that had his life upended.
Brantt on 247 implied almost a month ago that Carter was filing a lawsuit and soon. Wendi Priest Keller (think friends with all the coaches wives) wrote "Sweet karma is coming for liars" on Facebook.
Both Bartletts (Syd being more notable) have been radio silent. Previously, Syd took every chance to remind everyone of the story when it didn't go beyond the wrestling world.
Carter meanwhile has been removed from the suspended list, is running camps again and is in California training with the Who's Who of MMA.

7 weeks ago I was very concerned about the Collegian article. I said I wouldn't comment on anything until August. It appears that the storm has past.

In the Penn State offseason roundup . . . thread Crossface Cradle posted about the recent NLWC Golf Classic/ guest attendance at an NLWC practice, specifically mentioning that he saw Carter and Snyder rolling around at practice. I replied in that thread, but thought I should copy it here since this thread is more on point to the topic. Here were my comments:

Considering people were saying Carter was no longer with NLWC and the severity of the accusations in the previous months I will take his presence as a good sign. I can't imagine Cael and the coaches, much less the PSU Administration, would have allowed Carter's presence unless they believe the most serious of the accusations have no merit and/or no victims have come forward formally. I also don't think it is a coincidence that Syd and Bo have remained quiet on social media the last six weeks or so regarding the allegations and no other news outlet(s) have addressed the situation.

Awesome seems Carter is very happy and everyone is happy he’s in the room wrestling as a NLWC teammate. Time to move forward.
In other words, Iowa’s hopes have been dashed again.
