Again, even if he was performing decent, we shouldn’t be paying $1M for his resume.

Then there was no way he should
Have gotten more than a 2-year deal. We were competing with nobody for his services.

Selmon should be fired for the contract as much as allowing the hire
Are we on the hook for 3 million or 4 million guaranteed for this guy ?

Why would you run against us. Just throw the ball and the only thing stopping them is the WR dropping the ball.

Billy is a moron, he should have started the freshman qb, he would have run for three fitty.

Arkansas may rush for 700 yards

Taylen Green: 957 pass YDS (4th in SEC) Ja’Quinden Jackson: 472 rush YDS (1st in SEC) Taylen Green: 325 rush YDS (7th in SEC, Most among QBs) Andrew Armstrong: 348 receiving YDS (2nd in SEC)

It takes 2 coordinators for our defense and we are still this bad at run alignment.

Has anyone asked Lebby, or will ask Lebby, why we're in some awful formations that lead to big gains? We have tape, a dude on X, and a college player largely laughing about our defense. Ask him directly about this incompetence on defense.

Yeah two guys that have a podcast, that happen to go to press conferences as well, had things to say about the video.

Seems like they can go straight to the source at the press conference.

Our luck, this will be the place he settles down at. **

Seriously, a lot of 1-2 year stops says a lot.

With no real advancement as he moved around. And he's making it very obvious why in short order at good ole MSU.

There is really no reason why a sec team should make a risky hire on both sides of the ball at the same time.

I just want to know how a guy so bad could have landed this job.

Did Lebby just assume being at Bama made him a winner? Did Saban endorse the guy? Something sold Lebby on him being at least a decent coach. I’m very curious to know what that was.
He found Hutzler on the clearance isle and thought he was a bargain. Then he got to the register and rang up full price. Too lazy to go back to shop more.

It would be interesting to hear something like, "Of course we're running the right scheme on defense. If we hadn't then that Sacramento State transfer at running back would have gained over 300 yards instead of over 250. Defenses fear Sacramento State transfers. I wish we had four of them."

I don’t give one flying 17 if we clean house from the AD down as long as Keenum has no say in regards to the hire. Which is impossible as long as he’s here.

At some point, we need competent grown ups running this show. We babysat the last AD who would 17 up hire after hire, buy them out and hire the next likely mistake. This is not sustainable and it sets us that much further back every time we allow it.

who else were we gonna hire? Folks weren't exactly lining up to be the defensive coordinator for a fun and gun offense (Leach) that had just shown how inept it was at running a West Coast? style offense (Barbry) that was about to switch to its third style of offense with 11 new offensive starters (Lebby)...

Again, it’s hard to ever say considering the air tight lid that our athletic department puts on anything having to do with interviews and recruiting. That said, y’all can’t tell me that we had an SEC DC job on the table that pays $1M/yr with a buyout that would cover your retirement, and there was absolutely no one interested.

Maybe we weren’t going to pluck a sitting P4 coordinator, fine. I can buy that, but there are 134 FBS schools, another 130 FCS schools, guys in the NFL, and probably another 50 or so not even coaching. There had to be a handful of competent coaches out of all that willing to take $4M to come coach SEC football

Last year's DC was light years ahead (by the end of the season). We're probably still paying him. Can he come back and earn it?

Orgeron wasn't this bad as his own defensive coordinator.
Doesn't take a genius to realize that Hutzler is lost as a DC. First, we had the Arizona State debacle where it took nearly 3 quarters to add another player or 2 into the box even though we kept giving up 8 to 10 yards per rush and were just getting run over. And then Toledo did basically anything they wanted whenever they wanted and lastly Florida where we can't even line up properly. Our coaching on defense is even more of a problem than our personnel and that's saying something because our talent level is quite low.
