If he’s predicting Florida in 12th and Arkansas 13th, he’s expecting the Gators and Razorbacks to be in the market for new coaches.

Does Shane Beamer get fired for being 14th?

If you hooked him up to a lie detector, I wonder what place he thinks we would be if HE had been hired instead of Lebby

Arkansas is 100% looking for a coach in this scenario. I think its understood that this is Pittman's last year regardless of how the season plays out. The word is that even if they have a great year, he's retiring after the season.

South Carolina is probably looking for a coach if they finish 14th. I guess if they rolled a 7-5 but finished 14th then he may get another year but his seat is rather warm at the moment.

Florida is the weird one. Since SEC media days wrapped up I've listened to various podcast that cover the league at large or are team specific and every single media member covering UF has said that its highly unlikely that Napier gets let go after this year. His buyout is in the $30 million dollar range and he still has the support of some powerful people in Gainesville. They will be improved but as we all know the schedule is brutal. It sounds like he could roll a 6-6 and get another year. Now if the wheels fall off and they only win 3 or 4 games then they would likely open up the collective wallet and pay the buyout. Should be interesting.

I'm a bit surprised by the Texas winning the SEC pick. I get they have an easy SEC schedule, but they struggled last year against Houston, K-State, and TCU and lost to Oklahoma. This year they get Michigan, Oklahoma, and Georgia. They also have A&M in College Station and while Texas may claim Oklahoma as their rival, make no mistake that the Longhorns are the Aggies true rival. Anyone can win that game. I just don't see them coming out of that without 2 losses at least.

I got a few C notes for anyone that wants to bet that Missouri finishes in the top half. Lets go.
Have you seen their schedule? They’ll be in the top half for sure. I do think 3 is a bit high though.

Missouri is too high and Bama is too low but other than that he has it pretty close. Y'all need to come to terms with how bad we are going to be. I'll gladly eat crow if I'm wrong.

I hope we both eat crow. But 15th looks right to me too. I be don’t think hardly anyone who not a Mississippi State fan is picking us any better than 15th.

There is no UGA, Texas, Tenn, or LSU on their schedule

Vandy, Mississippi State, Auburn, South Carolina, and Arkansas-- all teams picked to finish at the bottom of the league-ARE on their schedule.... 5-3 puts them in the top 8.... I'd make a LARGE wager if Woof is willing.

Bama on the road, Oklahoma at home, Texas AM on the road--- are the others---

Id take as large of wager woof wants to make they finish in the top 8

Dopey Dan ranked Missouri high because he didn't want to get trolled by Eli Drinkwitz again.

Also, he had Arkansas at #21 last preseason.

Not sure what "talking to your bookie" has to do with making a bet... But i'll take as big of a bet your willing to lay down. We can find someone here trusted to venmo/paypal etc to hold the money.

Missouri will be good but I’d move them down to #5/#6, also not sure Texas can finish #1.

otherwise Dans picks look good. tenn, LSU, Missouri and ole miss are all in that group that could finish anywhere 4 through 7. Some people think Alabama won’t miss A beat. Very possible.

Take a look at 247 roster talent rankings. Matches up pretty well, Florida has the 12th most talented roster in the country.

Oklahoma nation wide #8 surprised me. They are getting very little respect. napier was just a bad hire. Drink has done really well and Mizzou has a very easy schedule.

And people call me crazy when I say we don’t have much talent on this roster. It’s probably going to be a long fall.

I would also point out the following teams rankings from last year. And I am in no way saying recruiting rankings don’t matter!!!!!!
AM 4
Clem 5
USC 8
Miami 12
UF 15
Neb 21
USCe 22
UCLA 24
Mich St 27
Washington 26
Only Clem finished top 25 (barely) except for Washington and we saw what they did.
It’s also interesting see how our number goes up year over year but so do everyone else’s. I guess everyone is getting better.
