I kept getting this on3 video timeline with a thin Dave Thomas featured in one of the stories. Finally looked at the ad to see what it was actually for...

All seriousness, its been 21 years since Dave passed? Years pass so damn fast as an adult.

It would be interesting to see how he would handle today's business climate and particularly labor shortage. He was smart, hard working and self-made and I get the feeling he would have somehow made sense of it and handled it well.

Nothing but respect for Dave Thomas. He was adopted by good hard working folks. Learned food service as a teen. Did the same in the military. When Harland Sanders pitched his new chicken cooking methods to a business in Columbus, they turned him down, but their assistant manager, Dave, called Sanders later that night. He sold the Columbus KFC franchise for a million dollars in 1965. Bored by retirement, he created a humburger joint. This is America at it finest.
