I’m seeing Loyola over Ohio State and VaTech over Texas.

After yesterday, I can see why we were more successful than I thought we would be this year. The Big Ten sucks. Maybe they can redeem themselves today, but I doubt it. As you say, Loyola will absolutely crush Ohio State.

So Micah’s got this, doesn’t got this? 🤷🏻‍♂️

We can only hope. I'm perfectly content with the rest of the BIG getting run over.

Loyola 14-19 Buckeyes. Four and change remaining in the first half. Boring game so far.

Loyola 18-29 Buckeyes at 16 and change left. Loyola looking bad, can’t buy a basket.

Baylor, Providence, Houston, Tennessee, Auburn, and Arizona - still sticking with these guys, at least one will get to the big game.

But In round 1, its more fun to pick which overwhelming favorite will lose. Although it pains me, I'll go with the mercurial #6 Alabama (all world talent, mind numbing losses this year) to lose to the #11 Irish. Bonus pick #11 Votech over another mercurial team in #6 Texas.

What the heck is going on with John Calipari and Kentucky? St. Peter’s, really!!

I always thought Calipari was a bit overrated. I always go back to that Memphis team in 2008 losing to Kansas, that was on him. Yesterday he was out coached again.

Yale 33-46 Purdue at halftime. The Williams-Edy tandem is, wow, overwhelming. Edy is no stiff; he moves well and hits his free throws. Williams is really fundamentally sound too, a terrific passer.

It didn’t help that they were 1-6 free-throws in overtime.
With the disparity in professional level talent, depth and size it should have never gotten to that point. St. Peter’s proved that a fundamentally mature team has a chance to beat a very young star studded team.

Looks like I should have added Texas Tech to my final 8 list. Impressive.

I’ve been watching the last ten minutes of Miami-Southern Cal, great game, back and forth game, the players showing real talent. Miami looks to be in control up, 7 with 44 seconds left. If USC doesn’t score here, I’ll call it.

One point game with 25 seconds. Three pointer, turnover, three pointer.

Since there's no WBB thread I just want to say that Caitlin Clark is awesome to watch.

Alabama made an all-world block, had numbers, bad cross-court pass, intercepted, slam, down 10 at 3:09.

This is a strange ND team ... they have beaten or played well against some good teams, but then fall flat against teams they should have beaten easily.
IMHO, ND plays terrible defense. But Alabama wasted a lot of possessions and they were playing shorthanded after that kid got hurt.

But… the shots were falling and we‘ll take it. 😁
